10.09.17: NEXT STOP STAVANGER: We have been showing since 1975 but have only been to Stavanger twice due to the distance. The roads are better now so we thought we should give it a go. At the Int all breed NKC show Swedish Lena Hägglund judged 24 Springers. First time out was a local by the name of Theo/ Zelini's Cutting Corners and he won junior class. Next was Billie/ Zelini's Dirty Dancing (pic below) who won Open bitch. In championclass Maya/ INT NORDCH. NJW-11 NTrCH. Zelini's Golden Goal was 2nd. In best bitch Billie was placed 2nd only beaten by a champion which gave her the 3rd and crowning CC!!! She is the 2nd champion in her litter and the 42nd champion we have bred!! We are soooo proud! Maya was 4th best bitch.

02.-03.09.17: INTERNATIONAL NEWS: New from clever puppy buyers coming in and nothing is making us happier than hearing how they succeed with their dogs. In Tromsø in the north of Norway Agata Grundvåg showed her Elling/ Zelini's On The Rocks and he was BPOB.
In Finland Casper/ INT Multi CH. Zelini's Premier League was BOS at a show in Siilinjärvi. Last but not least we have to tell about the Swede Karolina Sjöholm who went to Denmark this weekend. Saturday she took the CC and got the Danish and Nordic title on her CH. Astrospring's Orion who is the sire of our litter born in 2015. Karolina also has Orion's son SEU(u)CH. Zelini's Back To The Future (pic below) and he took the CC Sunday and got his Danish title. A great weekend for Karolina and her boys!

26.08.17: MORE GOOD NEWS FROM FINLAND: This day Casper/ INT Multi CH. Zelini's Premier League was BOS  at an all breed show in Mäntyharju. Judge was Kirsi Nieminen, and happy owners are still Nappi and Nana!

12.08.17: GOOD NEWS FROM FINLAND: There was a big all breed show in Turku where Slovenian Ales Novak judged 27 Springers. He liked Casper/ INT Multi CH. Zelini's Premier League best and made him BOB in strong competition. Happy owners are Nappi and Nana Isola at Kahdensiskon Kennel. Well done!

06.08.17: It's been quite a while since we went to the all breed show in Nesbyen but this time there were a judge with background from Spaniels so we had to go. Svein Helgesen, former breeder of Cocker Spaniels under the Tanac prefix, had 10 Springers entered, 2 dogs and 8 bitches. We only had Molly/ Zelini's Candy Crush entered this day. She was the only one with CQ so she was best bitch and got her first CC. She was BOS as well.

30.07.17: A GOOD DAY for us at the all breed show in Moss where the Swede Börje Johansson, kennel Allerts, judged 12 Springers. We brought a couple of siblings and first one in the ring was Malvin/ Zelini's Sunset Boulevard. He was very well behaved and won his class. He later went on to win best dog, took the CC and was BOS. His sister Billie/ Zelini's Dirty Dancing won her class as well, went best bitch winning the CC and later on BOB.

08.07.17: BIRTHDAY PARTY: Casper/ INT Multi CH. Zelini's Premier League celebrated his 7th birthday with winning BOB in Sauvo in Finland under judge Leni Finne. Congratulations and happy birthday, sweet Casper!

01.-02.07.17: TRONDHEIM NEXT: We brought 3 dogs, but we won't mention 2 of them. ;-) Maya/ INT NORDCH. NTrCH. NJW-11 Zelini's Golden Goal on the other hand made us very proud! Saturday we were at the Spaniel Specialty where Marie-Louise Doppelreiter judged 42 Springers. Maya won champion class and ended as 2nd best bitch. Sunday at the INT all breed kennel club show 47 Springers were entered under Paula Heikkinen-Lekhonen from Finland and Maya won champion class again. But she didn't stop there as she was best bitch and eventually best of breed! Maya really showed her socks off with her favourite auntie Karoline Johansen. These two shows had the biggest entries so far this year and we are so proud of her! Thanks to Westaway for the lovely photo and congratulations with BOS with NCH. Westaway Stop Press.

18.06.17: Another tracking trial for Helene Botterli and her Ville/ NTrCH. Zelini's Barossa Valley. She was the onlye one with 1st prize and won the trial! Well done!
Izzie/ INT NORDCH. NSTrCH. NORDW-13 Zelini's Hattrick was tracking as well this day and got another 1st prize and was placed 3rd.

17.06.17: LOVELY DEBUTE in the puppyring for Elling/ Zelini's On The Rocks. He was at an Spaniel Specialty up north and was BPIB and BIS-2 puppy. Happy owner is Agata Grunvåg.
Helene Botterli was tracking this day with Ville/NTrCH. Zelini's Barossa Valley and they got a 1st prize and was placed 2nd.

Casper BIS10.-11.06.17: AN ACTIVE WEEKEND FOR THE ZELINI'S:  This time of year people are usually very active with their dogs both in the forest and in the ring. Saturday Dina Arnevik had entered a tracking trial with her Izzie/INT NORDCH. NSTrCH. NORDW-13 Zelini's Hattrick and they did very well achieving a 1st prize. The very same day Bellman/ Zelini's Casablanca got the res. CC at the NKC Int allbreed show in Oslo being soooo close to his title!
Sunday Izzie and Dina went tracking again and got a super 1st prize and were placed as no. 3. At the Spaniel Specialty in Tønsberg Molly/ Zelini's Candy Crush took another res. CC. But the star this weekend was Casper/ INT Multi CH. Zelini's Premier League. He was at a show in Mynämäki, and not only was his BOB, he even won the group and later on Best In Show! Huge congratulations to his owners Nappi and Nana Isola!

27.-28.05.17: TIME FOR THE SPANIEL CLUB MAIN SHOW: This is one of shows we just have to go to. Norwegian judge Kari Granaas Hansen had 31 Springers entered. She made Milo/ NUCH. Zelini's Body Talk 4th best dog and gave the res. CC to Bellman/ Zelini's Casablanca. Molly/ Zelini's Candy Crush made us proud with her debute in juniorclass. She won the class and was the only one getting CQ. She was BOB junior and later on BIS-3 junior. Our breeders group got a Prize of Honour with a lovely critique.
In Finland the same day Casper/ INT MultiCH. Zelini's Premier League was BOS at a show there.

On Sunday the Dane Mikael Tranholm judged 24 Springers and we only showed the girls. Molly won the juniorclass again and was the only one with CQ. She was BOB junior but we didn't stay for the finals due to heavy traffic on the way home. She even got the res. CC that day. Maya/ INT NORDCH. NTrCH. NJW-11 Zelini's Golden Goal went 4th best bitch.

Totte new champion20.-21.05.17: SUPER WEEKEND FOR THE ZELINI'S:  We had a quiet weekend at home but several puppybuyers did us proud! Early Saturday morning I got a text message from Helene Botterli telling me that her Ville/ NTrCH. Zelini's Barossa Valley had been to a tracking trial and they got a 1st prize and Ville was 2nd best dog. At another tracking trial Dina Arnevik got 1st prize tracking as well with her Izzie/ INT NORDCH. NSTrCH. NORDW-13 Zelini's Hattrick. From Finland I got a message that her brother Casper/ INT MultiCH. Zelini's Premier League had been to a big International all breed show in Helsinki where he was BOS and got another cacib to his credit. Owners are Katariina and Johanna Isola at kennel Kahdensiskon.
I was already happy with this weekend but Sunday was even better! I had barely woken up when I got a phonecall from Karolina Sjöholm in Sweden telling me that her Totte/ Zelini's Back To The Future had taken the CC, cacib and best dog at the SKC International all breed show in Hässleholm. This made him a champion at only 2 years and 3 months! A couple of hours later Karolina rang me again telling me that Totte even went BOB! Karolina was so happy and felt that they had done more than they could hope for and she was going to be relaxed and just enjoy their time in the group ring. So they did and they even got BIG-3 in a big and strong gundog group!!! Totte is the 41st champion with the Zelini prefix and we are so proud!
Later that day we got another text message from Helene Botterli telling me that her Ville/ NTr.CH. Zelini's Barossa Valley got yet another 1st prize tracking.
A lovely weekend, and we are lucky to have so many clever puppybuyers. Well done to you all!

Theo new champion

23.04.17: ZELINI-CHAMPION #40!! At the NKC Int all breed show in Bergen the Swede Moa Persson judged the Springers and she was very fond of Theo/ Zelini's Goalgetter. He won open class, and was later on best dog with cacib and CC and with that he got his championtitle. Theo was as always in a great mood, and showed his socks of going BOB! He was even shortlisted in a strong gundog group. Theo lives in Bergen with his owner Kirsten Freim Grevstad and her family. Every time I am in Bergen I have showed Theo who is soon 7 years old. He is always in excellent condition and very well groomed. It is always a pleasure to show a dog like that and I am so grateful to his owners and to our good friend Else Grindheim, kennel Bobwhite, who does the show grooming. This made it posible for us to have another champion, and this was no. 40! We are sooo proud!

22.04.17: NEWS FROM FINLAND: Lovely news from Nappi and Nana at kennel Kahdensiskon today. They have been at a show in Simpele where their Casper/ INT MultiCH. Zelini's Premier League was BOB and BIG-4 under judge Reia Leikola-Walden.

Totte CC Gothenburg

08.01.17: NEW YEAR, NEW POSSIBILITIES: 2016 was not our best year, so we welcome 2017. Oh yes, we had a lot of nice results during the year but most of all we will remember that 2016 was the year we lost both Ylva and Viggo six months apart. Two old dogs, 13 years and 8 months and almost 11 years, so they both have had long and good lives, but we miss them desperately. They were beloved family members and the days are so empty without them.

We got this years first good news from Karolina Sjöholm in Sweden. She showed her Totte/ Zelini's Back To The Future at MyDog in Gothenburg and he got the CC! This was his 5th CC but he is not yet 2 years old so the title have to wait.

BILLIE IS PREGNANT! We know for sure now that Billie is pregnant. You can read more about this litter at our puppypage -> planned litters.

04.12.16: WE ARE EXPECTING PUPPIES:  We have mated Billie/ Zelini's Dancing Dirty to Charlescroft Ripple'n'Roll. You can read more about this litter at our puppypage -> planned litter.

Ylvakos

30.11.16: A VERY SAD DAY AT KENNEL ZELINI: The day we had feared had come. Our queen Ylva/ INT NORDCH. NORDW-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever left us at the age of 13 years, 8 months and 2 days. She was an old lady and despite her failing health she was as happy as ever. She was even wagging her tail at the vets being put to sleep.
Ylva was had a very special personality and a once in a lifetime dog. We will never have anyone like her again. She was our sunshine every day! In the showring she did well with several BOB, BIG and BIS placements and wins. She had 19 puppies and 10 of them got at least one champintitle. Not many brood bitches can match that! Everything we have today goes back to her.
It is so empty and quiet here and we miss her so much! Sleep well, my love, untill we meet again!

Bellman BOS Telemark

17.09.16: At the Spaniel Specialty in Telemark the Finnish judge Leila Kärkäs was invited to judge and I think it was her first time in Norway. Our best this day (again) was Bellman/ Zelini's Casablanca and he was best dog, took the CC and later on went BOS. This was his third show and he he has won his class every time with CQ, and he has 2 CC's and has been BOS twice. We are so happy with this boy and so thankful to his owners Brit and Per Frid who is taking such good care of him. Well done!

04.09.16: Helene Botterli and her Ville/ NTrCH. Zelini's Barossa Valley got another 1st prize tracking. Well done!!

31.07.16: WE HAD A LOVELY DAY in Moss where 24 Springers were entered under the turkish judge Ozan Belkis: I don't think anyone here have ever heard of him but he turned out to be a nice new aquiantance. We had brought two youngsters in intermediate class this day, and they made us proud! First out was Bellman/ Zelini's Casablanca who made his debute with a lovely win being best male and BOS gaining his first CC. Proud owner Per Frid was not able to be there but with the assistance of his daughter we managed to get Bellman there so we could show him. Bellmans sister Billie/ Zelini's Dirty Dancing won her first CC as well and was 2nd best bitch. She is owner by Rikke Lahn/ Andrew Watson/ kennel Zelini.

In Finland Casper/ INT MultiCH. Zelini's Premier League was BOS for the 5th time this year if we remember right. He even has a couple of BOB, group and BIS-placings. Well done to his owners at kennel Kahdensiskon.

16.07.16: CASPER DID IT AGAIN: INT MultiCH. Zelini's Premier League was once again BOS in a show in Finland. This time in Orivesi. Well done to his owners at knl. Kahdensiskon!

15.07.16: WE GOT PUPPIES: The day before she was due Emma got 4 big puppies, 3 boys and 1 girl. You can read more about this litter at our puppypage -> current litter.

09.07.16: NEWS FROM SWEDEN: Two shows in Tvååker in Sweden this weekend were Totte/ Zelini's Back To The Future was shown both days by his owner Karolina Eliasson. He got one CC and one res. CC. This was his 4th CC in 3 months! We are so proud of our Swedish boy. :-)

New champion!02.-03.07.16: OUR YEARLY TRIP TO TRONDHEIM is something we always are looking forward to, Karoline Johansen and myself. Saturday there were an International Kennel Club all breed show and the Norwegian judge Vidar Grundetjern had 36 Springers entered. We only brought bitches and first one out was Billie/ Zelini's Dirty Dancing. She was 2nd in juniorclass with CQ. The next one we had was Milla/ Zelini's Speakers Corner (pictured) in Open class. She came all the way from Bodø in the north of Norway. Her owner Ludvig had used 14 hours driving to meet us in Trondheim. Milla has done well up north and now needed a kennel club CC to finish her title. They were supposed to go on holiday but decided to go to this show first, and we were happy they did! First Milla won a big open class and when the judge thanked me for showing her under him I had hopes for more and more we got! Eventually Milla was 2nd best bitch with her crowning CC and res. cacib as well. We are so happy!!! Huge congratulations to her owners Hilde and Ludvig Kvandal! Maya/ INT NORDCH. NJW-11 Zelini's Golden Goal was 3rd in championclass with CQ.
Sunday there were a Spaniel specialty were Norwegian/ Finnish judge Jari Partanen had 32 Springers entered. We only showed Billie and Maya this day as Milla had left for her holiday. Billie won juniorclass and got the res. CC. Maya was 2nd best bitch this day.

10.06.16: EMMA IS PREGNANT!! We went to do an ultrasound today and Emma is now confirmed pregnant. You can read more about this litter at our puppypage -> planned litters.

04.-05.06.16: VILLE AGAIN! NTrCH. Zelini's Barossa Valley went to tracking trials both days this weekend  and the conditions were difficult with very hot and dry weather. But Ville did a good job and got 1st prize both days. Well done to owner Helene Botterli!

28.-29.05.16: TEAM ZELINI WITH SUCCESS IN 3 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES!! What a weekend! I got one message after another with great results and it was a lovely weekend for me staying at home. Early Saturday morning I had a call from Karolina Eliasson in Sweden. She had been to a show in Hasslarp with her Totte/ Zelini's Back To The Future who was 2nd best dog and got his 2nd CC! Karolina owns his father SEU(u)CH. Astrosprings Orion as well and he was BOB and BIS that day! What a day for Karolina!
Up north in Narvik Hilde Kvandal showed her Milla/ Zelini's Speakers Corner and she gained her 2nd CC and BOS under Jo Schepers.
Later that day Ville/ NTrCH. Zelini's Barossa Valley and her owner Helene Botterli rang me and told me they had a lovely 1st prize at a tracking trial. A lovely day for the Zelini's but little did I know that the following day should be even better!
Sunday morning started with another phonecall from Karolina Eliasson telling me that Totte/ Zelini's Back To The Future had gained his 3rd CC (not yet old enough to be a champion). He even was BOS beating his daddy, the BIS-winner from yesterday, and finally BIS-4-junior! What a weekend for Karolina and her dogs.  In Finland Casper/ INTCH. MultiCH. Zelini's Premier League was BOB, BIG and BEST IN SHOW!!! Well done to his owners Nappi and Nana, knl Kahdensiskon. I was so happy thinking the weekend was fantastic! But it didn't stop there. In the afternoon Per Frid rang me as he had been to a tracking trial with his Bellman/ Zelini's Casablanca. This was their very first trial and Per had no expectations as he felt they hadn't had the time to train enough. He couldn't be more wrong! They did a splendid job and got a 1st prize and even got the prize for best debutant!! Very well done!!! We are so proud to have such lovely dogs and skilfull owners. Well done to you all!

21.05.16: FINALLY GOING TO A SHOW! We haven't been to any shows for almost half a year so it was certainly about time! We went to the Spaniel Club Main Show and the one to make us proud this day was Billie/ Zelini's Dirty Dancing. She was shown for the very first time and she won a strong juniorclass, got CQ, and was finally BIS-3 junior! She is owned by knl Zelini, Rikke Lahn and Andrew Watson

14.05.16: WE ARE EXPECTING PUPPIES: We are hoping for puppies mid July. You can read more about this litter at our puppypage -> planned litter.

Tress BIS working

16.04.16: SPANIEL SPECIALTY IN BERGEN: Judge was the Norwegian/ Swedish Cocker Spaniel and Dalmatian breeder Rune Brunberg Johansen. His prefix is Timanka. He is quite new as a judge and I think it's the first time he is judging in Norway. Only one Zelini was entered, but she did us proud! Tress/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's Corona Extra was BIS working dog.

10.04.16: NEWS FROM SWEDEN THIS TIME: Quite early in the morning we got a very happy call from Karolina Eliasson in Sweden. I didn't even know they were going to a show this day and she could tell me that her Totte/ Zelini's Back To The Future had been awarded his first CC. He is only 14 months old and we are so happy for Totte and Karolina. Totte's dad SU(u)CH. Astrospring's Orion was BOS so Karolina had quite a day with her dogs. Well done!

Casper BOB Turku

17.01.16: NEWS FROM ABROAD: While sitting here freezing in -20C we got a message from Finland warming our hearts. Casper/ INTCH. Multi CH. Zelini's Premiere League was BOB at the Finnish Kennel Club all breed show in Turku under mrs. Marie Husteiner from Austria. 27 ESS were entered. Well done to happy owners Nappi and Nana Isola at knl. Kahdensiskon!

14.01.16: NO PUPPIES THIS SPRING: Things doesn't always turn out the way we hope and plan for and there will not be any litter here this spring. So we have to change our plans and are hoping for a litter during the summer instead. Our puppypage will be updated in a few days.

06.12.15: This years last show was in Kongsberg and Danish judge Jessie Borregaard Madsen of Sieger's fame was judging all Spaniels. Unfortunately only 12 Springers were entered probably because of Nordic Winnershow in Finland, where several exhibitors chose to go to. Maya/ INTCH. NORDCH. NTrCH. NJW-11 Zelini's Golden Goal was best bitch and BOS. Now we are enjoying the Christmas holiday and waiting for Milla's season to start. ;-)

Debbie Puppy In Group26.11.15: WE GOT A NEW FAMILYMEMBER!! And she has come all the way from Australia our Debbie. Her official name is AUST CH. Reibey Million Dollar Baby and she is bred by Shannon Lancaster and George Render. Her DOB is August 7th 2014. Shannon and I have considered us to be friends for 17-18 years even though we met face to face for the first time in May this year when Shannon was here for a judging appointment and stayed with us for a week. Shannon has had a special interest for Scandinavian Springers and she has imported semen from among others INT CH. MultiCh. Zelini's Premiere League whom I sold to kennel Kahdensiskon in Finland. He is Debbie's grandfather. That way we get our own blood back mixed with exciting Australian lines and we are really looking forward to see what that can do for us. Thank you, Shannon and George! We are forever grateful to you letting us have this lovely girl.

The photo is showing Debbie and Shannon winning Best Puppy In Group in a big all breed show in Australia.

14.11.15: CELEBRATING 25 YEARS OF BREEDING ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIELS! Today it's exactly 25 years since our first litter was born and this year it's 40 years since we got our first Spaniel. We have had an incredible journey throughout these years and have had a lot of lovely experiences. Thanks to all our wonderful puppybuyers and all the other lovely people we met on our way. We are looking forward for more to come!

09.11.15: PUPPYPLANS! If you are interested you are welcome to visit our puppypage -> planned litters. We are hoping for puppies early next year.

Maya International champion31.10.-01.11.15: NEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION!! This weekend we took the trip to Herning in Denmark and two international shows. Saturday there were 22 Springers entered under the Irish Ralph Dunne. Mr. Dunne himself won BIS at Crufts with a Clumber Spaniel some years ago and it's a great honour to show under a judge like him. The only dog I brought with me this weekend was Maya/ NORDUCH. NVCH. NJV-11 Zelini's Golden Goal, and when Mr. Dunne judged in Norway February 2014 he actually made her BOB and BIS-3 at the Spaniel Specialty in Telemark. We had hopes he still liked her and he did! First she won championclass, and then she was best bitch and got the cacib in strong competition. Finally she was BOS, only beaten by a lovely junior dog from kennel Sieger's. Sunday there were 21 Springers entered under the Estonian judge Marjo Lepasaar. For us this was a new acquaintance, but he was a very nice judge to show under. Maya won championclass again and this day she was 2nd best bitch beaten by a lovely junior. Because the rules says juniors can't have cacib Maya got another one this day. After this weekend Maya is now an International champion, and we are so proud! Maya is actually the third in her litter to not only achieve a Nordic title but even an International title. We have now bred 6 International champions and I actually believe that no other Spaniel-breeder in Norway has ever achieved this. Proud? Me? Oh yes, very much so!! :-)

25.10.15: SSRK, The Swedish Spaniel and Retrieverclub had their show in Mjölby this day. PBOB and BPIS-3 was Totte/ Zelini's Back To The Future. Well done, Totte and owner Karolina!

11.10.15: The Spaniel Club had a specialty in Bergen (in western Norway) with Anne Berith Waskaas judging. We were not present but Else K. Grindheim was there with her Tress/ NCH. SCH. NTrCH. Zelini's Corona Extra. They made us really proud by being best bitch, BOS and even BIS working class. Well done!

New champion Zelini's Body Talk19.09.15: WE HAVE A NEW CHAMPION!! The Spaniel Club had a specialty in Telemark this day with the Danish judge Jens Martin Hansen. We were lucky to borrow Milo/ NJW-14 Zelini's Body Talk with us when his family were not able to come. Milo was very happy to be with us and behaved perfect as always. He ended as 2nd best dog and got his 3rd and crowning CC! Milo was 2 years in July and in Norway our dogs have to be over two years to get their title. We were very happy that Milo got his title so soon after his birthday. Well done to his owners, the Sehlmann family! They really manage to keep him in super condition and he always looks fantastic. Milo is Zelini-champion #38! Our own Maya/NORDCH. NTrCH. NJW-11 Zelini's Golden Goal was 2nd best bitch.

The same day, up north in Sortland, Milo's sister Milla/ Zelini's Speakers Corner was shown by her owner Hilde Kvandal at a show there. She took her first CC and was even BOB!! Well done, Hilde! What a day for the siblings.

05.-06.09.15: EDS 2015: Finally it was time for European Dog Show (EDS) and we had waited for so long!  Saturday it was the Spaniel club circuit show where Ray Smith of Melverly fame judged 66 Springers. BOS puppy (8 ESS puppies entered) was Malvin/ Zelini's Sunset Boulevard. Milo/ NJW-14 Zelini's Body Talk was 2nd in Open dog. Among the bitches Tress/ NSCH. NTr.CH. Zelini's Corona Extra won the working class and was even BIS working dog! Second in working class was Izzie/ INT NORDCH. NSTr.CH. NORDW-13 Zelini's Hattrick. Maya/ NORDCH. NJW-11 Zelini's Golden Goal was 3rd in championclass. None of them were placed further but the judges thought these 4 dogs made a high quality group alltogether and awarded us BIS breeder!
Sunday and a new day with new possibilities. Norwegian jugde Svein Helgesen had 4 puppies and 84 adult ESS entered. BOB puppy was Totte/ Zelini's Back To The Future. Once again Milo/ NJW-14 Zelini's Body Talk was 2nd in Open dog. Winner of a very strong championclass bitches was Maya/ NORDCH. NJW-11 Zelini's Golden Goal and she was later on awarded the res. cacib. There was a different system this day so no best dog class or best bitch class as only the winners were placed. A great weekend for us and I am so grateful for all our puppybuyers doing so well.

Our winners

09.08.15: PUPPYSHOW at the same showground as the previous day. Approximately 100 puppies of different breeds were entered and.  Malvin/ Zelini's Sunset Boulevard made his debut this day, and he did great! He took the breed, the group and finally BIS-3. 04.-05.07.15: This was a weekend with a lot of activities. We, Karoline and I, went to Trondheim for two shows there. We didn't exactly have the best success but we sure had a nice trip as always. Saturday Izzie/ INT NORDCH. NSTrCH. NORDW-13 Zelini's Hattrick (owned by Dina Arnevik) went BIS working dog and Sunday Zelini's Speakers Corner (photo) went 3rd best bitch and got the res. CC. Her owner is Hilde Kvandal.
In Sweden Zelini's Back To The Future was BPIS again at a Springerklubben open show. Well done to his owner Karolina Eliasson.

28.06.15: There was a tracking trial this weekend and under very difficult conditions and in very hot weather Ville/ NTrCH. Zelini's Barossa Valley got a 1st prize with a Prize of Honour and was 3rd best dog. More than half the dogs got 0, so this was quite an achievement! Well done to owner Helene Botterli.

Totte BPIS

27.06.15: This years litter turned 4 months a week ago and the first one was ready for his debute in puppyclass.  Totte/ Zelini's Back To The Future was shown at Springerklubbens Västra open show in Sweden and he went BPIS! Well done to his owner Karolina Eliasson who takes such good care of him.

15.06.15: Another good tracking dog and a very good 1st prize went to Izzie/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-13 Zelini's Hattrick and her owner Dina Arnevik. Well done!

07.06.15:  Helene Botterli started at a tracking trial with her Ville/ NTrCH. Zelini's Barossa Valley and got a lovely 1st prize.

30.05.15: This was a very rainy day and I was struggling with an awful cold. My day seemed so much brighter when I received a surprise phonecall from a show in Sweden. Else Grindheim was there with her Tress/ NUCH. NTr.CH. Zelini's Corona Extra and she was best bitch with CC and got her Swedish title! She ended BOS. I must say I like surprises like that! Well done, Else and Tress. You made my day!

23.-24.05.15: This weekend there was time for the Spaniel Clubs main show. All the way from Australia the club had invited Shannon Lancaster, kennel Reibey, to judge the Springers this day. Shannon was staying with us so we couldn't show any of our own dogs. Christin Sehlmann had entered her Milo/ NJW-14 Zelini's Body Talk, and he was shown by Karoline to 2nd best dog and he got the CC. Among the bitches Hilde Smuts-Muller had entered her Lykke/ Zelini's Midsomer Murder and Karoline handled her as well. She was placed second in open class and got CQ.
Sunday Karoline was busy elsewhere so I had to do it all by myself. Milo was 3rd best dog, and Maya/ NORDCH. NJW-11 NTr.CH. Zelini's Golden Goal was 2nd best bitch.

10.05.15: NEWS FROM FINLAND:  Casper/ MultiCH. INTCH. Zelini's Premier League was BOS at a show in Sipoo under judge Leni Finne.

20.02.15: WE HAVE PUPPIES!! We got 9 puppies, 7 boys and 2 girls. Check out our puppypage for photos and more information!

Newborn

19.01.15: NEWS FROM FINLAND: Casper/ MultiCH. INTCH. Zelini's Premier League was BOS in a show in Virolahti where Tapio Eerola judged 15 Springers. He was only beaten by a kennelmate atkennel Kahdensiskon. Well done to owners Nappi and Nana! :-)

ultrasound

19.01.15: WE ARE EXPECTING PUPPIES! This was confirmed by ultrasound today. It seems to be a normalsized litter.

If you are interested you can read more about this litter at our puppypage-> planned litter.

03.-04.01.15: NEW SEASONS STARTS IN GOTHENBURG:  New year, new possibilities! :-) This year it is 25 years since our first litter was born, so I feel this just have to be a good year for us. :-)  Here in Norway there are very few shows during winter, so we had to start the year in Sweden. Maya/ NORDCH. NTrCH. NJW-11 Zelini's Golden Goal needs one more cacib to have her International title. She got res. cacib both days, but was beaten by an International champion, so the cacib shall be passed on to Maya. Now we have to wait for the confirmation from FCI and that could take many months.

Joy 8 weeks

26.12.14: WE WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME JOY TO TEAM ZELINI:  We are happy to announce a new member of our team: Bobwhite's Joy for Zelini. Joy will be living with Cathrine Stephansen who previously had NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On The Roof, and we will be co-owning her. Joy's sire is Zelini's Body Talk and her dam is a daughter of NUCH. Zelini's Surfers Paradise, which means she is 3/4 Zelini. Thanks to Joy's breeder Else Grindheim for entrusting us this beautiful girl! We are very much looking forward to co-operating with Cathrine about her.

23.12.14: PUPPIES EXPECTED: Emma and I went to Sweden this day for a date with Trasan. It was a very successful date and you can have more details this litter at the page "Planned litters". Hopefully we will have puppies in the end of February.

14.11.14:  NORWEGIAN WINNERSHOW:  I really didn't look forward to this show. It was entered the same number of dogs that day, about 7.000, that was entered in Nordic Winnershow the following two days, and we expected chaos. The Kennel Club had sent us all a map showing the parking places in the entire town, and we didn't feel much for dragging all our stuff through the city when it was all cold and rainy. Because of that we were there 07.15 although the ESS-judging didn't start untill 09.30, and it all went very well! We just had to stand in a queue for five minutes before they opened the doors at 07.30 and we got in there quite fast. No problems at all! ;-) That's promising for the European Dog Show next year!
70 Springers were entered under the Norwegian judge Christian Geelmuyden. I showed under him many years ago with totally different dogs and I had absolutely no idea what he would think about the dogs we had entered this time. There were dogs entered from all the Nordic countries, so the competition was hard and the quality was high. First one out was Milo/ Zelini's Body Talk in juniorclass. To my surprise he won the class and therefore got the title Norwegian Junior Winner 2014 (NJW-14). Next out was Casper/ INTCH. MultiCH. Zelini's Premier League who had come all the way from Finland. He won the championclass in hard competition and ended up being best dog! He got the CC and that made him a Norwegian and Nordic champion. He even got the title Norwegian Winner 2014 (NW-14), and he now has 13 titles to his credit. Finally he was even BOB!!!  Young Milo ended as 3rd best dog and got the res. CC. We are so proud of our boys! We had three bitches entered in championclass and best of them was Maya/NORDCH. NJW-11 NTrCH. Zelini's Golden Goal when she was placed 2nd in the class and as 4th best bitch. Our breeders group was placed 2nd among three ESS groups.
We had a great day and I am so proud of the team. Thanks for all the nice words about our dogs!
The boys

Maya and the breeders group

24.09.14: NEW SWEDISH TRACKINGCHAMPION: Dina Arnevik took her INT NORDCH. NTrCH. NORDW-13 Zelini's Hattrick for a little trip to Sweden and a tracking trial there. They did very well and got a 1st prize and the Swedish tracking title. Well done!

06.09.14: We had lovely weather at the Spaniel Specialty in Rygge this day. Judge for the day was a Welsh breeder from Slovakia, Janka Janekova. She had 22 Springers entered. We had three dogs entered and first out was 13 months old Milo/ Zelini's Body Talk in juniorclass. He won the class and ended up as 3rd best dog with his first CC. Next one out was Emma/ Zelini's Private Practice in open bitch. She won the class and the judge really liked her a lot! She was 2nd best bitch with her first CC, only beaten by the BIS-winner! Finally Maya/ NORDCH. NJW-11 NTrCH. Zelini's Golden Goal was 4th best bitch.
The same day INT NORDCH. NORDW-13 NTrCH. Zelini's Hattrick entered a hunting ability test and passed.

CC-winners

16.08.-17.08.14: TWO SHOWS IN OSLO: Saturday there was the Spaniel specialty where Emma Parker from Australia was invited to judge. We didn't do very well but the one to save our honour was Milo/ Zelini's Body Talk who was 4th best dog and got the res. CC.
Sunday Marie Merchant from Australia judged at the Norwegian Kennel Clubs internatioal all breed show. Milo won the juniorclass which means he is qualified for Crufts 2015. He even got the res. CC this day. It was his 3rd show and his 3rd res. CC and he is only 12 months young. :-) Maya/ NORDCH. NJW-11 NTrCH. Zelini's Golden Goal was 4th best bitch.

Maya retrieving duck10.08.14: This summers no. 1 goal has been to start a hunting ability test with Maya/ NORDCH. NJW-11 NTrCH. Zelini's Golden Goal. The reason we haven't started earlier is that she just hasn't shown any will at all to swim. Usually my puppies swim at a very early age but Maya hasn't shown any interest at all. So I decided it was time and finally managed to convince her that it was a fun thing to do. Especially when we started throwing ducks into the water she loved swimming and retrieving. So we started the hunting ability test and we passed!!! I was sooo happy! :-)

31.05.-01.06.14:  ZELINI ON THE TRACK!  We had a relaxing weekend ourselves but we had some nice messages from the deep woods. :-) Saturday Astri Helle and her Mocca/ NVCH. Zelini's Caffe Mocca took their eight 1st prize tracking. Well done!
Helene Botterli and Ville/ NVCH. Zelini's Barossa Valley took 1st prize both days and was very close to a Prize of Honour on Sunday. But when the judge found out the track was only 400 m's (should be 600) he couldn't give that. Anyway, well done, girls!

24.-25.05.14:  GREAT WEEKEND IN LOVELY VESTFOLD:   The Spaniel Club had their main show in the lovely Gunnarsbøparken with Christina Daniels (kennel Mistily) from Sweden judging 31 Springers. Our best this day came from juniorclass and is only 10 months old. Milo/ Zelini's Body Talk won the juniorclass with CQ and we thought he was too young to be placed among the top four. But the judge thought otherwise and placed him as no. 4 and gave him the res. CC! Congratulations to owner Christin Sehlmann and her family.
Sunday Petr Studenik (Black Petrs Cocker Spaniels) from the Czech Republic judged 27 Springers and best of all he liked our Maya/ NORDCH. NJV-11 NVCH. Zelini's Golden Goal who was BOB and BIS-3. Do we need to say we had a great weekend? Good results, lovely weather and surrounded by good friends. It can't be better! :-)

Vestfold 2014

04.-05.05.14: FANTASTIC WEEKEND FOR CASPER IN FINLAND:  Casper/ INT Multi CH. Zelini's Premier League is really a in good flow at the moment! It's fun being a breeder when you got one positive text after another! Me like! :-)
Saturday there were an International all breed show in Tampere where Christian Geelmuyden judged 27 Springers and Casper was in a really good show-mood and was BOB. Sunday there were a show for the FCI groups 5, 6, 7 and 8 with appr. 230 dogs entered. Leila Kärkäs judged and Casper was BOB again. He didn't stop there and went all the way winning the group and finally BEST IN SHOW!! We are sooo proud of our Finnish boy and we are so thankful to Nappi and Nana at kennel Kahdensiskon for taking such good care of him and they are always showing him to the best! Well done, girls!

Casper BIS!

12.04.14:  GOOD NEWS FROM FINLAND: In a show in Finnish Pertunmaa Casper/ INT Multi CH. Zelini's Premier League was BOB. 19 ESS were entered under Tapio Eerola. Congratulations to Nappi and Nana at kennel Kahdensiskon!

05.04.14: LOVELY DAY IN BERGEN: Our spring-trip to Bergen is always nice and we are staying with Else and Per-Ove at kennel Bobwhite every time. We always meet Kirsten who owns Maya's brother Theo/ Zelini's Goalgetter, and we are having such a good time with lots of laughter and good food. :-)
At the Spaniel Specialty 23 ESS were entered under Mr. Jan Roger Sauge (Mambrino Labradors). BOB/ BPIS was Selma/ Zelini's Makes People Talk. Theo/ Zelini's Goalgetter was 2nd best dog and got the CC, and NORDCH. NJW-11 N.Tr.CH. Zelini's Golden Goal went best bitch, BOB and almost all the way when she was BIS-2! We are sooo happy with our lovely day. :-)

The winners in Bergen!

01.02.14: NEW YEAR, NEW POSSIBILITIES!

This years first show was as always the Spaniel Specialty in Telemark. It is always a very nice show but the floor is a bit slippery there. It was really bad weather driving there but we got there anyway. The judge this time was the Irish mr. Ralph Dunne, and he is wellknown as BIS-winner at Crufts with one of his fantastic Clumbers. We have never shown under him before so this was a new and nice acquaintance.

First out was the puppies and  Zelini's Body Talk (Milo) won puppy dog 6-9 months and his brother Zelini's Someone To Talk To (Todd) was 2nd. These boys are owned by respectivily Christin Sehlmann and Gry Inger Vilming Karlsen. Milo was even BPOB and BPIS-2!!! Quite a debute for dog and owners. :-) Karoline handled him to perfection as always.
We only had one adult entered, NORDUCH. NVCH. NJV-11 Zelini's Golden Goal (Maya), and she really kept our flag flying by taking BOB and BIS-3! All of a sudden it's was totally OK with both bad weather and slippery floor.  :-)

The winners!

14.12.13:  YES, YES, YES!!!! I was at home not knowing what was going on in Finland. well, I knew that Vanja (Sliwa) was there showing some dogs at the Nordic Winnershow and she even had Izzie/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's Hattrick with her there. When my phone rang I didn't think of it at first but then I remembered that Vanja was in Finland and there had to be something special! I answered and Vanja asked me if I was sitting down and then she said: "You know Heidi, today is the Nordic Winnershow and 97 ESS were entered. And guess what, Izzie took the CC, cacib and BOB!!!!! I screamed out bouncing around! ;-) Izzie got her Finnish title, Nordic title, International title and Nordic Winner-title. Thank you soooo much, Vanja, for bringing Izzie to Finland with you. ;-)

Izzie in the group in Helsinki

Maya on the move02.11.13: NEW NORDIC CHAMPION!!  The trip went to Herning in Denmark where the Danish Kennel Club had two International all breed shows. I travelled together with Vanja Sliwa, kennel Winton. She brought with her Maya's sire Felix (CH. Wintont The Winner Takes It All) and the Japanese Spitz Tea. We met Friday morning at 4.15 am, and even though it was VERY early we enjoyed the trip and just couldn't stop talking. The ferry left Larvik at 8 am. and despite some wind and waves the trip went just fine. We had a lovely breakfast, did some tax free-shopping and even managed to relax a little bit.
Saturday Springers were judged by Marjo Jaakkola, Benton WSS, and she liked our dogs in a previous show a couple of years ago, so we had a tiny little hope she might still like them. ;-) Felix was 2nd best dog with CC and he is now a Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish and Danish Champion as well as Nordic champion. Maya/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. NJV-11 Zelini's Golden Goal was 3rd best bitch and got the CC. That makes her Norwegian, Swedish, Danish and Nordic champion and that makes me proud. ;-) Tea, the Spitz, went BOB both days and and we were very happy with our trip. We stayed at kennel Diamond Ring during the weekend with our good friends Inge and Allan and celebrated with champagne and a lovely meal. I was back home at 5am Monday and was tired and content. Thanks Vanja for a lovely trip in your good company! ;-)

07.10.13: NEWS FROM ABROAD: This weekend we had some really good news from abroad. In Finland Casper/ INT Multi CH. Zelini's Premier  League went BOB and BIG-4 at a show in Tuulos. 31 Springers were entered.
In Australia a couple of Casper's offspring have been in the ring this weekend. CH. Reibey World Premiere went BIS-2 at the first show and he went all the way and was BIS at the two following shows!!! These were all breed shows and we are soooo proud!!! His sister Reibey Premiere Downunder took 3 CC's at the same shows!! Huge congratulations to owner/ breeders  Shannon Lancaster and George Render.

28.-29.09.13: There have been two shows in Bergen this weekend, and  NUCH. Zelini's Corona Extra was BOS Sunday. Bitch CC both days went to  Bobwhite's Go To Gate, a daughter of NUCH. Zelini's Surfers Paradise.

Izzie/ NUCH. SEU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's Hattrick is not only a super tracking dog, she is goodlooking as well! Appr. 800 dogs of all breeds were entered both days. Saturday she was BOB, BOG-1 and BIS-3!!! Sunday she was BOB and BOG-2! We are so proud of Izzie who has both brain and beauty, and we are really impressed by her owner Dina Arnevik and all her achievements with Izzie. Huge congratulations!!

18.08.13: NORWEGIAN CHAMPIONSHIP IN BLOODTRACKING: This year we were represented by  Izzie/ NUCH. SEU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's Hattrick  with her owner Dina Arnevik. Izzie and Dina really did a good job, but unfortunately they didn't have any special challenges during their track. To be on top of the list you have to have some challenges. But we are satisfied anyway as Izzie did her job and got a 1st prize. She ended up as no. 13 out of 31. Well done!

Norw. CH. Zelini's Budweiser

  10.08.13:  NEW CHAMPION!!!
Siv Sandø, chairman of the Norwegian Kennel Club, judged 19 Springers. 2. best male with CC, the magical third, and his championtitle went to Bertil/ Zelini's Budweiser. This was the second CC in one week! Huge congratulations to his owner Marie L. Sollien. Thank you so much to Karoline Johansen for handling him, and to Solveig Holth for giving him a haircut.
Bertil is Zelini-champion no. 37, and he is the 10th champion out of Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever. We are so proud of this and we are sure not many bitches can compete with that. ;-)

03.08.13:
In a show in Nesbyen today Christine Rossier from Switzerland judged the Springers. She gave CC and BOB to Zelini's Budweiser. Congratulations to owner Marie L. Gundersen!

CH. Zelini's Premier League in Split 2013

28.07.13: NEWS FROM CROATIA:
While I was sitting by the puppybox some puppybuyers have been on the road. Multi CH. Zelini's Premier League/ Casper, who is living in Finland at the Kahdensiskon knls, has been in Split, Croatia, at a 4 day show. These very popular shows are called "4 Summer Night Shows Split 2013", and many people from many different countries are showing their dogs all four days. Casper had great success in Croatia and during those days he took 3 x CC, 2 x BOB, 2 x cacib and was BIS-3 working dog. In addition to that he gained hos Croatian championtitle!! Huge congratulations to his owners Nappi and Nana! ;-)  BTW, Casper is halfbrother to our newborns as they have the same mother.

26.07.13: PUPPIES BORN!!! We got 10 puppies, 6 boys and 4 girls, all liver/ white/ tan. Too see photos and learn more about this litter please take a look at our puppypage.

Tress NVCH

06.07.13: NEW DOUBLECHAMPION!!!
Exactly one month after her first 1st prize in tracking Tress/ NUCH. Zelini's Corona Extra took her third and crowning 1st prize  which made her a doublechampion! Huge congratulations to owner and handler Else Grindheim. We are sooo proud of you. ;-)

Another reason that we are so proud today is that this is actually our 10th doublechampion (tracking/ showing). It is really satisfying for us that we manage to combine the beauty and the brain so typical for the breed.

Maya May 2013

23.06.13: The Spaniel Club had one of their specialties today and best bitch and BOS was our Maya/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. NJV-11 Zelini's Golden Goal. I had a totally useless knee this day and would like to thank Gitte Lunde and Vanja Sliwa for helping me handling my dogs. I am so grateful to you!

19.06.13:  ULTRASOUND!! Kelly has been to an ultrasound and is confirmed pregnant. If you want to know more, please check out our puppypage.

15.06.13: I was away this weekend but other Zelini's started tracking trials. N. Tr.CH. Zelini's Caffe Mocca and Tress/ NUCH. Zelini's Corona Extra both got 1. prizes! This was Mocca's 7th first prize and Tress' 2nd, so she needs only one more to become a double champion. ;-) Well done!!

06.06.13: ANOTHER GOOD TRACKER!! On an ordinary Thursday when I was doing ordinary and boring things I received a happy phonecall from Else Grindheim. She and her Tress/ NUCH. Zelini's Corona Extra had started a tracking trial that day (which I didn't know of) and they did so well getting a 1. prize AND a Prize of Honour! We are thrilled!! Well done, girls!!

01.06.13: MOCCA IS ON THE TRACK!!!! N. Tr.CH. Zelini's Caffe Mocca and her owner Astri Helle attended a tracking trial last  weekend and got a nice 1. prize. This weekend they were out again and this time they got a 1. prize with a Prize of Honour and won the trial! Well done, we are so proud!

Ville was so happy!

28.04.13: NEWS FROM FINLAND AGAIN:
INT CH. MultiCh. Zelini's Premier League/ Casper
was shown in Lahti in an International all breed show. The judge Wim Wellens had 37 Springers entered, and Casper was once again best dog and BOS. Congratulations again to owners Nappi and Nana.

In Norway there were a show in Sunndalsøra where the Swedish judge Hans Almgren gave the bitch-CC (her first) and 2nd best bitch to Helene Botterli's  NVCH. Zelini's Barossa Valley/ Ville. Huge congratulations to Helene who did everything by herself! She groomed, bathed and handled her so well. Now you know that you can!!! :-)

07.04.13: GOOD NEWS FROM FINLAND: INT CH. MultiCh. Zelini's Premier League/ Casper was shown Hyvinkää where 28 Springers were judged by Reia Leikola Walden. Casper was best male and BOS. Congratulations to his owners Nappi and Nana at kennel Kahdensiskon.
I went to the International Kennel Club show in Bergen this weekend where I handled Zelini's Goalgetter/ Theo. He "only" needs his KC-CC so therefore we only showed him that day.  Theo was 4th best male and got the res. CC, his fourth...

30.03.13: FINALLY AN UPDATE!!! Because of problems with the homepage-generator I have been unable to update for a while. Finally my husband found out what to do as the people at the helpdesk couldn't help me! I have been quite upset because they wouldn't help me, but it's OK now thanks to my husband. :-)

Anyway, it's not happening much at this time of the year. There have been a couple of shows but we have not been there ourselves. At the International Kennel Club show in Bø we were sort of involved when Viggo's (CH. Zelini's West Side Story) daughter Springtrend Red Benly took her third and crowning CC and got her title. Congratulations to owners/ breeders Ragnhild and Snorre Aslaksen. Open class dog was won by Bente Lill Samuelsen's  Zelini's Man of the Match, who also got CK. Well done!

This years puppyplans are ready, and there are more to be read about that on the page for Planned litters.

ooooooooooOOOOOOOOoooooooooo

Årets champions!!

WHAT A YEAR WE HAVE HAD!!!!!  We have made up six new champions this year, and they have got a total of 18 titles!!! We have a small kennel with approximately one litter per year, and this has been our best year ever.  This years champions come from four different litters . ;-) We are so grateful to the skilfull owners who take such good care of their dogs, and show them to their best. We are also happy for the judges appreciating their qualities.

This years champions are:

NY CHAMPION!!! Zelini's Corona Extra10.-11.11.12: A SUPER WEEKEND AND ONE MORE CHAMPION!!!  Several Zelini's where in action this weekend and they did really well. ;-) Saturday there was an International all breed show in the Finnish town Jyväskylä. 44 Springers were entered  (and among them 11 championmales!), and Casper/ INT Multi CH. Zelini's Premier League (owner: kennel Kahdensiskon)  made us proud again. He was best male and got another cacib, and he even was BOB! He was shortlisted in the group, but unfortunately not placed.
In Orkdal 4.5 months old Vinnie/ Zelini's Criminal Minds (owner: Marianne Sæther) was shown for the very first time in a puppyshow and she was BPOB.
Sunday there were shows in Kongsberg and Stord. We were at Kongsberg and three of this summers litter were entered. There were 8 puppies entered in the class 4-6 months bitches. No 2 in the class was Emma/ Zelini's Private Practice, and no 4 in the class was Lykke/ Zelini's Midsomer Murders (owner: Hilde Smuts-Muller). Happy/ Zelini's Downton Abbey (owners: Signe and Martine Dysthe) wasn't placed, but I am  sure she will come back stronger later! The goal at this age is just that they behave in the ring and if they are placed it's just a bonus. :-) The girls behaved well, and we are very pleased with them. Among the adults Maya/ NUCH. SEU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's Golden Goal was 3rd best bitch. The highlight this day gave Tress/ Zelini's Corona Extra (owner: Else K. Grindheim) us at the show at Stord. She took her 3rd CC, and is our 6th champion this year!! We have now bred 36 champions. ;-) Congratulations to you all!!  The photo is showing our newest champion Zelini's Corona Extra.

03.-04.11: NEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION!!!!!!  MULTI CH. Zelini's Premier League / Casper has been to two shows in Estonia, and he was BOS with cacib both days. With the cacib Saturday he was qualified for the International title, and it was the first possibility for this as it was one year and one week since he got his first cacib. Now he is an International champion and he has a lot of other titles, and he is only 2 years and 4 months old! No wonder we are proud of this boy??!! A million thanks to Nappi and Nana. kennel Kahdensiskon in Finland, who take such good care of him and show him so well. Casper is our 4th International champion, and we are so proud. We have very few litters, and it's really fun achieving that much.  There are only one more ESS breeder in Norway who have bred 4  International champions. :-)

29.-30.09.12: SUPER WEEKEND IN BERGEN:

This weekend we were ready for this falls trip to Bergen in western Norway. It was Karoline Johansen and myself, also known as Team Zelini. ;-) A lot of rain was expected. Not unusual for Bergen, but luckily it was better than first expected and the dogs didn't get too wet.

Saturday BSBK had their show with the Belgian judge Norman Deschuymere who had 15 Springers entered. He was unknown to us, but turned out to be a very nice man who really liked what he was doing. BOB with his first CC was the  Viggo-son Bobwhite's Spring Fairytale. Congratulations to both breeder and owner. 2nd best dog with res.CC was Theo/ Zelini's Goalgetter, owned by Kirsten Freim Grevstad. Bobwhite's Take Off (sønn av CH. 23.09.12: Spaniel Specialty in Telemark with wellknown Labrador-breeder Jan Roger Sauge, kennel Mambrino, judging. 2nd best bitch and BIS-veteran was Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever. Maya/ NUCH. SEU(u)CH. NVCH. NJV-11 Zelini's Golden Goal was unfortunately very affected by the slippery floor and her legs were all over the place... She ended as 3rd best bitch.
This lovely photo of Ylva is taken by Anne Johnsen. Thank you so much!! ;-)

22.-23.09.12: In the north of Norway there were two shows this weekend. Both days Per Jørgen Nordstrand' s Bobby/ Zelini's Remington Sportsman took CC and BOS. He has four "small" CC's and needs a CC won at a Kennel Club to become a champion. Well done and good luck!

02.09.12: SUCCESS IN TROMSØ: Karoline and Maya/ NUCH. SEU(u)CH. NVCH. NJV-11 Zelini's Golden Goal went to Tromsø in the north of Norway this weekend to visit some friends and go to shows.  Yesterday Tromsø HK had their show, and Maya was 2nd best bitch under Christian Geelmuyden. Today the Norwegian Kennel Club had their International all breed show and 24 Springers were entered under Børge Espeland. Maya first won a very strong championclass consisting of 9 lovely bitches from Norway, Sweden and Finland. Then she was best bitch with cacib, BOB and finally Group 4 in very strong competition!!!! I am sooo proud of my girls!!! ;-)

01.09.12: ONE MORE TITLE FOR CASPER: The Finnish-owned Casper/ FIN EST LIT LTV RUSS RKF BALT CH. Zelini's Premier League  took a trip to Sandviken in Sverige for some shows with his owners Johanna and Katariina Isola at kennel Kahdensiskon. Judge Martin Croeser from South Afrika made Casper 4th best dog and awarded him the CC. With this he is Swedish Show Champion as well! Sunday he was shown for the very first time in championclass and he did well being 2nd best dog with res. cacib under the Swedish judge Bertil Lundgren. Well done!!!

26.08.12: QUALIFIED FOR SEARCHING WOUNDED GAME: Here in Norway everyone hunting elk or deer have to have access to a qualified dog for searching wounded animals.  Liv and Ragnar Hagen's  Cappo/ Zelini's Guinness Extra Stout is now qualified and ready for the hunting season. Well done!!

CH. Zelini's Hattrick

25.08.12: ANOTHER CHAMPION!!!  NO. 35 WITH THE ZELINI PREFIX!!!!  In the middle of Norway, in Trondheim,  Dina Arnevik showed her  Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick for the first time after her second birthday. That means it was the first possibility for her to get her championtitle and she did!!! She was 3rd best bitch with CC and is now Norwegian and Swedish Showchampion and Norwegian Tracking Champion!!! We are so grateful to our fantastic puppybuyers for taking such good care of our puppies and showing them and working them so well. Izzie is the  35th champion from our breeding, and we never would have made it without all our fantastic puppybuyers. Thank you so much all of you!!

CH. Zelini's Golden Goal19.08.12: NEW CHAMPION!!!  The puppies has left for their new homes and it was time for me to get out of the house. I spent the day at the NKC show in Oslo. The weather was beautiful but it had rained the whole day before and the showground was VERY wet!!  36 Springers were entered under the Norwegian judge Barbro Myrseth Gjerde, and the only one we had entered was Maya/ NJV-11 Zelini's Golden Goal. She won open class with CK, and ended up as 3rd best bitch. She was only beaten by two champions which meant she got the CC and her championtitle!!! Now she is Norwegian and Swedish Showchampion, and Norwegian Trackingchampion!!! It was sooo nice to be present when she got her titles. ;-) Karoline has been to a few shows without me when I have been home with the puppies so I was very glad to be there when it happened.

12.08.12: ANOTHER 1st PRIZE AT TRACKING TRIAL: Another lovely textmessage came today, this time from Dina Arnevik. She had entered a tracking trial this day with her Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick, and she got a 1st prize with a Honour Prize and she was 3rd best dog. This was Izzie's fourth 1st prize, and her second HP. Huge congratulations from us!!! We are sooo proud of you!!

08.08.12: I got a nice textmessage from Liv and Ragnar Hagen today. Their Cappo/ Zelini's Guinness Extra Stout had been entered to a tracking trial, and he got a 1st prize. Their next goal is to qualify him for searching wounded game. Congratulations and good luck!!!

05.08.12: Dina Arnevik had taken a trip to a show in Svenstavik in Sweden with her Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick. She was 3rd best bitch with CC and res. cacib! ;-) Well done!

Ylva BIS veteran Rygge

28.07.12: ANOTHER GOOD DAY!!! At least regarding the results! The weather was the worse ever... I have been showing since 1975 and I have never experienced a weather like this. It was pouring down all day, non stop, and the amount of rain was incredible!  Anyway, we only brought  Maya/ NJV-11 Zelini's Golden Goal and Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever with us to the Spaniel Specialty in Rygge under judge Graham Osborne, UK. Maya was entered in open class for the first time and she was placed 2nd. She didn't get a CK so the day was over for her. But nevertheless, with this placing, she got her tracking title as she has all her tracking merits and only needed a show merit after her 2nd birthday.  We just hope her showtitles will come soon. ;-) Ylva won veteranclass, and was 3rd best bitch. She was even BIS veteran!! She was showing very well enjoying being in the ring and it was so much fun handling her in the rain. Thank you Frank Bjerklund for the lovely photo.

The same day, in an International show in Mikkeli, Finland, our newest champion Zelini's Premier League was BOS and got the cacib as well.

CH. Zelini's Premier League21.07.-22.07.12: TWO NEW CHAMPIONS!!!!! While I am sitting here at home next to the puppy box our fantastic puppybuyers are making us proud. I have received several happy text-messages and phonecalls this weekend. ;-)  The Finnish-owned Casper/ Zelini's Premier League was entered to a couple of shows in Estonia and Saturday he took the CC and was BOS. This was his first CC after his 2nd birthday which means he got his championtitles. He has numerous CC's from many different countries and he now has the following titles: Finnish, Latvian, Lithuanian, Estonian, Russian and Baltic Champion!!!! Not bad for such a young dog. We are so proud and grateful to his owners  Nappi and Nana at kennel Kahdensiskon for their achievements with him. He was shown Sunday as well, and that day he was BOB and BIG-3!!!

Sunday Helene Botterli had entered a tracking trial at Bjorli with her Ville/ Zelini's Barossa Valley, and they did well. She got her third 1st prize and got her tracking title. Well done, we are so proud of you!!!

30.06.-01.07.12: DOUBLE SHOW IN TRONDHEIM: We were not in Trondheim ourselves as we have small puppies and had to stay home with them. The only one bred by us there was  Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick (owned by Dina Arnevik), and she made us proud again. :-) Saturday she was 4th best bitch with res. CC, and Sunday she was 3rd best bitch and took the CC. This was her 6th CC and the next time she and her siblings take a CC they will have their title as the now have finally turned two! :-)

24.06.12: NEWS FROM RUSSIA!!! Finnish-owned Casper/ Zelini's Premier League had taken a trip to St. Petersburg in Russia where he took the CC, cacib and BOS. Congratulations to his owners at kennel Kahdensiskon!

23.06.12: ANOTHER TRACKINGRESULT: While I was sitting half dead (caused by lack of sleep) next to the whelping box I got a lovely text message from Dina Arnevik. She had been to a tracking trial in Selbu with her Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick, and they got their third 1st prize there. She is still not two years, so we have to wait for a show after July 8th before she actually will have her title. Well done!!

22.06.12: WE GOT PUPPIES! We got four lovely girl-puppies. You can see more about them at our page "current litter".

16.06.12: Maya/ NJV-11 Zelini's Golden Goal and I had entered a tracking trial close to home this day. 19 dogs were entered and Maya was among the youngest as she is still not 2 years old. Despite pouring rain Maya went a fantastic track and she won the trial!!! This was her third first prize but she have to wait till after her second birthday to get her title.

10.06.12: Another tracking trial for Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick this day. She got a 1st prize again and this time with HP (Prize of Honour). She was even placed as no. 2.

03.06.12: While I was in Gothenburg judging the Springerklubbs Open Show there were Zelini's in action here at home. Best of them was Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick who was in a tracking trial, and she got a lovely 1st prize. Well done to owner Dina Arnevik.

26.-27.05.12: The weekend was spent on Hadeland where the Spaniel Club had their main show and another specialty on Sunday. At the main show Saturday Fran Glendinning, kennel Plaiglen, judged 42 Springers. Maya/ NJV-11 Zelini's Golden Goal (photo) won intermediate class and ended up as 2nd best bitch with res. CC. Her sister Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick was 2nd in the intermediate class with CQ. At the show Sunday it was the other way around as Izzie won the class and ended up as 4th best bitch with res. CC. Maya was second in the class this day with CQ. Judge for 24 Springers that day was Jessie B. Madsen, kennel Sieger.
In Finland Casper/ Zelini's Premier League was shown as well and was 2nd best dog both days with res. CC. So this was the weekend in the sign of the res. CC's. ;-)

Thanks to kennel Statesman for this lovely photo of Maya!

14.05.12: TIME FOR ULTRASOUND! Kelly is now 3,5 weeks pregnant and it was about time for an ultrasound. She has shown absolutely no signs of pregnancy and behaves like she always does. But she had a lovely secret! The ultrasound showed a normalsize litter and we are looking sooo forward to having puppies again.  ;-)

BIR/ BIM-veteran NSK Agder12.-13.05.12: SUCCESS FOR TEAM ZELINI IN KRISTIANSAND!!
This weekend we were going Kristiansand for two shows.

The Spaniel Club had their specialty where Stig Arne Kjellevold (Westaways knls) had 30 Springers entered under him.  Karoline showed her Even/ NUCH. NVCH. Ylva BIM-veteran begge dagerSunday it was time for the Norwegian Kennel Club Int all breed show with Svein Helgesen judging 27 Springers. Even wasn't entered this day so we weren't in the ring untill it was time for Maya. And boy, she did great!  She won intermediate class and was later on best bitch with CC and cacib! And she didn't stop there, she was even BOB and BIG-3!!! Little Maya showed her socks off and she really seems to be growing up. ;-) She never lets us down with her positive energy and will to please. That's mummy's girl!  ;-) I guess there is no need to say the trip back home was a piece of cake?  Granny Ylva was 4th best bitch and BOS veteran this day as well.
Thanks to Ellen Getz Wold for all the lovely photos! BIR/ BIM NKK Kristiansand

NJV-11 Zelini's Golden Goal tok to cert i helgen!

14.-15.04. GREAT SUCCESS IN BERGEN!! This weekend we went to Bergen in the western of Norway. We really looked forward to this trip as it has been a long time since we had a trip like that. We were staying with Else Grindheim and her husband Per-Ove at kennel Bobwhite. Nowadays they have a litter sired by NUCH. Zelini's Surfers Paradise, and it was very nice seeing these puppies. The puppies were 6 weeks and they looked really good! It will be fun following them in the future.  ;-)
Saturday the Norwegian Kennel Club had their International all breed show and the Finnish judge Eeva Rautala had 27 Springers in her ring. Zelini's Goalgetter/ Theo (owned by Kirsten Freim Grevstad) won intermediate class, got CQ and was 4th best dog. His sister NJV-11 Zelini's Golden Goal/ Maya won intermediate class as well and with CQ. She did even better than her brother and ended up as 2nd best and she got the CCZelini's Goalgetter tok sitt første cert denne helgen! and res. cacib. We showed  Zelini's Diamond Hunter/ Tuva (owners Ellen and Torstein Solset), as she needed at least two times Good to get her tracking title. She got her tracking merits a long time ago so now it was up to us to get her show merits. This day she got EXC  in open class where she was placed 3rd and she got CQ. Grandmother to them all, INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever/ Ylva got CQ in veteranclass, and she was BOS veteran.
Sunday the Spaniel Club had their specialty with the highly respected judge Frank Kane (UK) judging 23 Springers.  It felt very good doing good this day under one of the most respected judges in the world.  Zelini's Goalgetter/ Theo won intermediate class with CQ this day as well and he ended up as 2nd best dog and gained his 1st CC!!!  NJV-11 Zelini's Golden Goal/ Maya Zelini's Diamond Hunter fikk utstillingspremieringene til viltsporchampionatet!did exactly the same and won her class with CQ, was 2nd best bitch and got the CC. We took 3 out of 4 possible CC's this weekend!!!! Zelini's Diamond Hunter/ Tuva got EXC this day as well and was placed 3rd in open class. With these results she got her tracking title. Huge congratulations to her owners Ellen and Torstein Solset who take such good care of her! INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever/ Ylva got CQ in veteranclass, and ended up as 4th best bitch.
The trip back home went very well and we had lots of fun as usual. ;-) Thank you to Karoline Johansen for a really good time, and thank you to Else and Per-Ove for your wonderful hospitality! Thank you as well to Kirsten, Ellen and Torstein for taking such good care of your dogs and for letting us show them.

05.04.: SEASON!! Finally Kelly has got her season. Read more about our plans at the page for planned puppies.

31.03.-01.04.:  This weekend there were two shows in Estonia and the Finnish-owned Zelini's Premier League/ Casper was entered. The show Saturday was judged by the Estonian Inga Siil. She awarded Casper the CC, BOB and BOG-2. Sunday had a Swedish judge, Hans Almgren, and he gave Casper the CC and BOS. Congratulations to his owners at kennel Kahdensiskon!

17.03.2012: NCK Harstad had 18 Springers entered under the Norwegian judge Vidar Grundetjern. Zelini's Remington Sportsman/ Bobby won open class, and ended up as 3rd best dog. The winner was already an International  champion, and no. 2 was a junior, so Bobby got the cacib. Intermediate class (bitches) was won by Zelini's Goalkeeper/ Diddi who ended up as 2nd best bitch with res. CC and res. cacib.

18.02.12:
Zelini's Premier League started this year in a wonderful way by achieving the CC and 2nd best dog at a Latvian show. Well done!

Casper 17 mnd18.12.11:
LOVELY NEWS FROM ABROAD:
This weekend Casper/ Zelini's Premier League has been to shows in Vilnius, Lithuania. Yesterday he was 2nd best dog with res. cacib, but today he really did it and took the CC, cacib and BOB!!!!  This CC will rest as we say here in Scandinavia so the day he is old enough and gets his qualifying CC in his homecountry Finland he will become a Lithuanian champion as well. We are soooo proud of this beautiful boy who has had a fantastic year. He started in official classes in April this year, and still he managed to be #2 Top ESS male in Finland and #7 Top ESS. So far he has taken 13 CC's in the countries Finland, Russia and Lithuania and he has passed the hunting ability test.  It isn't strange that we are proud, is it? :-) We send our sincere congratulations to his owners Nappi and Nana at kennel Kahdensiskon! Thanks for taking such good care of this lovely boy.

26.11.11: It was time for the last show in Norway, Dogs4All. This was the Norwegian Winner show and new this year was that the winners of juniorclass and veteranclass got titles as well. 33 Springers were entered under Mr. Frank Bjerklund. Karoline (Johansen) is finally done with her education in Denmark and I am happy that she is joining us for the shows again. Our first out was Bertil/ Zelini's Budweiser who was 3rd in juniorclass. In veteranclass Karoline showed her Even/ NUCH. Copy-Cat Hookeys Waterhole and he won the class with CQ, and got the title Norwegian Veteran Winner -11 (NVV-11). In juniorclass Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal was placed 1st with CQ, and she got the title Norwegian Junior Winner -11 (NJV-11). No 2 in this class with CQ was littersister Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick. Last one out was Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever, and she was 4th best bitch in strong competition. We had a lovely day with our friends and we would like to congratulate all winners!

In Estonia there were an all breed show in Narva this day and BOS went to Henry/ Zelini's Target Man. I don't know more than this and hope to get more details from this show later.

13.11.11: Today Casper/ Zelini's Premier League was in another show. This time in in Valkeala in Finland where Kirsi Nieminen judged 37 Springers. Casper took one more CC and was BOS! Well done. ;-)

At Stord there where a show today and a Viggo-daughter  by the name Bobwhite's Spring Fashion was entered. She took the CC and was BOS. Well done!!

12.11.11: Orkdal HK had their show with Rony Doedijns judging 19 Springers. 2. best bitch with res. CC was Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick. Owner is Dina Arnevik.

05.11.11:  This day Nappi and Nana at the Kahdensiskon kennels had taken a trip to Estonia with their Casper/ Zelini's Premier League. They had a good day as Casper took the CC and was 4th best male.

30.10.11:  Saturday there was an International show in Seinäjoki in Finland where the Norwegian judge Christian Geelmuyden had 55 Springers entered. 2. best male with CC and res. cacib was Casper/ Zelini's Premier League. The winner is  an International champion already, so this cacib will go to Casper. :-) Congratulations to Nappi and Nana at kennel Kahdensiskon.
Sunday there was an allbreed puppyshow in Sweden held by SSRK. Viggo's (CH Zelini's West Side Story) daughter True Dice Endless Story was BOB, BIG and BIS-4!! Huge congratulations to kennel True Dice with a fantastic ending of  her puppycareer. ;-)

18.10.11:  5 days after the debut Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal and I entered another tracking trial. She didn't disappoint me and got another 1st prize. We have to take a break during the winter and think about this, and it will be exciting to see what she can do next year when she is older and more experienced. ;-)

13.10.11:   LOVELY DEBUT: I decided to enter Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal to a tracking trial to see if we are training the right way. She has only gone tracks made by me so I was looking forward to seeing how she would go a track made by a total stranger. Maya has a tendency of looking like a question mark all the time and she usually looks quite confused. But there was nothing confused about her and she went fantastic! The judge gave us a 1st prize and told me Maya was the best dog she had judged this year. Guess we must have done something right! :-)

24.-25.09.11: DOUBLESHOW IN BERGEN: I hadn't entered any of my own dogs this weekend so I decided to fly to Bergen instead of taking the 8 hour drive to go there. I must say I appreciated flying for 50 minutes instead of driving alone for 8 hours. I was picked up at the airport by Else Grindheim, kennel Bobwhite, where I was staying for the weekend. She is the owner of Tress/ Zelini's Corona Extra who was one out of two dogs I was showing this weekend. Little, sweet and gorgeous Tress got quite a surprise when I came through the door.  :-) The look on her face was priceless!
Saturday BSBK had their show with wellknown Frank Bjerklund, kennel Westaway, judging 16 Springers. Theo/ Zelini's Goalgetter, owned by Kirsten Freim Grevstad, was 2nd best dog this day and got the res. CC. Tress got the res. CC as well and was 3rd best bitch.
Sunday it was time for the Spaniel Specialty, and judge for 20 Springers was Siv Sandø. She was new on Spaniels and absolutely a very nice new acquaintance. Tress won juniorclass and was eventually 2nd best bitch and she got the CC.  Congratulations to owner Else Grindheim!

17.09.11: Bjerkvik Dogclub had their show in Sortland in northern Norway and they had invited Polgar Andras from the Czech Republic to judge. CC and BOB went to Bobby/ Zelini's Remington Sportsman, so he "only" needs a Kennel Club CC to get his title now. He was the only Springer to get a CQ this day.  Congratulations to owner Per Jørgen Nordstrand!

10.09.11: This day the Kennel Club had their show in Stavanger and the Swedish judge Göran Bodegård had a little more than 30 Springers entered. I had a quiet weekend at home myself but we were represented by Else Grindheim's Tress/ Zelini's Corona Extra. Tress made us proud by winning the CC and she was placed as 3rd best bitch. Well done!!

I got a very nice mail from Finland regarding Viggo-son Backa Tinkerbell Just My Taste. He has gained his tracking trial-title in a very short period of time and with very few starts. He has taken three CC's as well and only needs a hunting ability test to have his showchampion-title. He will do that next year. Huge congratulations to owner Soile Hannula, and breeder Elvy Skogli Eurenius!!

03.09.11: In Finland Casper/ Zelini's Premier League was in a show in Vantaa where the Swedish judge Sara Nordin had 31 Springers in the ring. He was 3rd best male and took his 9th CC! Congratulations to his owners at kennel Kahdensiskon.

28.08.11: This weekend I have been as far away from dog activities as possible. We were in Copenhagen in Denmark celebrating that my parents have been married for 50 years. We had a wonderful weekend and our puppybuyers have defended our honour once again. Astri Helle has managed to get her Mocca/ NO VCH. Zelini's Caffe Mocca qualified for searching wounded game and the judge said she was the best trackingdog in the area! How cool is that?! ;-) Well done, girls!
In Finland Casper/ Zelini's Premier League has passed the hunting ability test. Finnish Springers have to pass this test in addition to their CC's to get their showchampion-title. Casper has already got 8 CC's and the hunting ability test, so now he just have to be old enough to get his title. He isn't two years untill July next year. :-)

21.08.11: It has been an active day in the woods for many, some with success, others without.  Well, that's how it is, isn't it? ;-) I got a very nice text message from Torstein Solset who told me that his Tuva (Zelini's Diamond Hunter) had won a tracking trial (18 dogs started) and that this was one of the hardest tracks he had ever gone. He has had 2 dogs before and one of them got 70 1st prizes so this says a lot. He was really impressed over his dog Tuva and how she solved the problems during the track.  I am so pleased to hear it when my puppybuyers achieve different things with their dogs and when the dogs are living up to the expectations of their owners. It means everything to me. :-) This was Tuva's 4th 1st prize and she only needs her showmerits to have her tracking-title. I guess we have to show her then. :-)
In Finland Viggo-son Backa Tinkerbell Just My Taste got his 2nd 1st prize at a tracking trial and he just needs one more for his title. Good luck!!!

Ylva August 2011

20.-21.08.11: DOUBLESHOW IN OSLO:  Saturday the Norwegian Kennel Club had Trudy Short (UK) judging 34 Springer. Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever (photo) was the one to defend our honour as she went best bitch and BOS! She was BOB-veteran as well. This show was the show where BOB and BOS-winners are qualified for Crufts. Ylva will be 9 years old in March 2012 so I don't think I will bring her there but it is nice having a qualified dog. :-) In the BIS-veteran final Ylva was shortlisted. It was an American judge so I had no expectations of a placement.
The following day there was a Spaniel Specialty and Sue Young (UK) judged 27 Springers.  Bertil/ Zelini's Budweiser won juniorklasse with CQ but was not placed in best dog.  Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was 2nd best bitch and was BIS-veteran.

13.08.11: In Mikkeli in Finland Casper/ Zelini's Premier League took CC and BOS. This is his 8th CC in Finland in addition to the junior-CC he has in Russia. Now four dogs from this litter has won a total of 16 CC's, and they just turned 13 months!!!! Two others have taken res-CC's and the rest of the litter is not shown.  I guess I don't have to tell you how pleased and proud I am of this litter.  :-)
Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal was shown the same day at Elverum where she took the res. CC.

Zelini's Target Man

09.08.11: GOOD NEWS FROM ESTONIA:
I got a mail from Ilona Lüter in Estonia telling me that she and Henry/ Zelini's Target Man had made their showdebut this weekend. They did really great as Henry took junior-CC, junior-BOS and BOS. In Estonia they can not compete for the adult-CC from juniorclass, so even though he was best male he "only" got the junior-CC. Well done, we are so proud of you! ;-)

We are so proud of you all!

18.06.11: SIBLINGS WITH SUCCESS AGAIN!!!! When I woke up today the rain was pouring down, so after a short trip out with the dogs I went back to bed. I wasn't doing anything special today so I fell asleep quite quickly.  A couple of hours later I woke up when I got a textmessage from Finland telling me that Casper/ Zelini's Premier League won the CC and was 2nd best dog at an Int all breed show in Kotka. Frank Kane judged 39 Springers. If I remember this correctly this was Casper's 5th CC and he is just 11 months.  Congratulations to kennel Kahdensiskon!
A couple of hours later I got a new textmessage. This time from Dina Arnevik who had shown her Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick in Oppdal, and she took the CC as well and was 2nd best bitch. This was her 3rd CC. Well done, Dina!
So it's not that bad staying at home on a rainy day when you have such clever puppybuyers.  :-)

11.06.11: Karoline Johansen and Kelly/ NUCH. Zelini's Cappuccino competed in obedience class 2 today and they won the class with 185 points (out of 200 possible)! We are sooooo proud of them. :-)

With this win he got his championtitle and he has taken his three CC's in only four shows!!! Ragg is Zelini-champion no. 29!
Sunday there was a Spaniel Specialty in Tønsberg with Danish judge Jens Martin Hansen judging 20 Springers. First out in juniorclass was Leon/ Zelini's Playmaker who won the class, and ended up being 2nd best dog with res. CC. Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. In Finland Casper/ Zelini's Premier League was on the Finnish Spaniel Club main show with about 90 Springers entered. Casper did well and was 5th best dog and got the res. CC.
The Zelini's are not just pretty, they are smart as well.  ;-) On a tracking trial this Sunday Helene Botterli started with her Ville/ Zelini's Barossa Valley. They got a very clear 1st prize and the judge was very satsified with the co-operation between dog and the handler. Helene was so happy to hear that!
Congratulations to you all doing so well with your Zelini's, and a million thanks for all your hard work!!!!

Zelini's Budweiser, winner of jr.class with CQ Sunday. 28.-29.05.11:  WHAT A WEEKEND!!!!! This weekend it was time for the Spaniel Club main show and another Spaniel Specialty the day after.  Saturday Per Iversen was invited to judge and he had 38 Springers in the ring. In juniorclass bitches we had the two sister in action, Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick and Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal. When we ran the last round, and he had placed them as 1st and 2nd he said out loud: " This is a very good class but the two first are really outstanding!!" I was so proud to be the breeder of these two lovely youngster! :-) Izzie ended up as 2nd best bitch and she took her second CC! Huge congratulations to owner Dina Arnevik who is doing all the trimming and handling all by herself.  Maya was 2nd in the class and ended up getting the res. CC. Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. Zelini's Premier League cert, BIR, BIG, BIS-207.05-08.05.11: This weekend there were Zelini's in action on both Norway and Finland, and the best result came in Finland. 10 months old Casper/ Zelini's Premier League (photo) took his second CC and was BOB under Jouku Leiviskä. He didn't stop there, he won the group and was even BIS-2 out of totally 306 dogs!!!

Karoline and myself had taken the trip to Kristiansand in southern Norway for two shows there. We had some varying results there, and the best both days was Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever. Saturday, at the KC Int Allbreed show she was 3rd best bitch and BIS-2-veteran. Sunday, at the Spaniels Specialty 2nd best bitch and BIS-veteran! 17.04.11: In Finland the success for Casper/ Zelini's Premier League is continuing. He is now in juniorclass, and he had his debute in Finland today. It went very well and he took his first CC and he was BOS as well. Congratulations to his owners at kennel Kahdensiskon who even owns the BOB-winner. They sure had a good day. ;-)

Zelini's Corona Extra BIS-puppy at the Spaniel Specialty in Bergen09.04.-10.04.11: SHOW-WEEKEND IN BERGEN: After a five month showbreak it was great being on the road again. Karoline and I found out that it was a year and a half since the two of us have been out on the road together and it sure was about time!!!  :-)
Saturday it was the Spaniel Specialty and wellknown Nicola Calvert, kennel Calvdale, judged this time. Luckily I was allowed to handle little Tress, Zelini's Corona Extra, at the puppyshow. Tress was very excited to see her grandma again and she showed all the way to BOB and BIS! Congratulations to owner Else Grindheim, kennel Bobwhite. Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal thought it was really funny as well and she hardly had a paw on the ground... She was 2nd in juniorclass with CQ. Ylva/ INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever won veteranclass with CQ, and was BOS-veteran.
Sunday the Kennel Club had their  Internatonal all breed show and judge for the day was Bjarne Sørensen. Among the males Theo/ Zelini's Goalgetter had his debute ad he won juniorclass with CQ. And he didn't stop there, he ended up as 4th best dog and got the res. She was 2nd best bitch and got the res. CC!  INT NORDUCH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was 2nd in veteranclass with CQ this day.

Casper BIG-302.04.11:  Casper/ Zelini's Premier League in Finland has now been to his last puppyshow and was BOB for the fifth time. He also was BIG-3 in a large group. Now we are looking forward to his debute in juniorclass next weekend!

27.03.11:
In Finland Casper/ Zelini's Premier League has been to puppyshows the two last weekends and he has been BPOB both times. The first time there were 7 Springerpuppies and he was not placed in the group. The second time there were 4 Springerpuppies and no finals for the puppies were held. Some shows in Finland don't have finals for the puppies and I never seem learn which ones as we always have finals for the puppies here in Norway. Anyway, our sincere congratulations to his owners at kennel Kahdensiskon. :-)

13.03.11: In Trondheim Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick has been to her last puppyshow. This time she won the breed and the group.  She has had a fantastic career in puppyshows and in four shows she has got 4 x BOB, 2 x BOG-1, 1 x BOG-2 and 1 x BIS-3! We are looking forward to see her in official classes. ;-)

Casper/ Zelini's Premier League 8 months05.03.11: Today Casper/ Zelini's Premier League was at another puppyshow and he was BOB again. There were no finals for the puppies which seems quite strange, at least for us Norwegians. Owners are Johanna and Katariina Isola, kennel Kahdensiskon.

20.02.11: GOOD NEWS FROM FINLAND!  In Finland Casper/ Zelini's Premier League has been to an all breed puppyshow in Lohja. He won the breed and there were as many as 14 Springerpuppies entered under  judge Leni Finne. The group was judged by Elina Haapaniemi, and Casper won! A total of 113 puppies were entered in group 8. We had some hopes for a placement in the BIS-final because it was the same judge that judged the group but unfortunately he was not placed. Nevertheless Casper had a great day and we send our sincere congratulations to his owners at kennel Kahdensiskon, Katariina and Johanna Isola.

Zelini's Golden Goal BIS-2 Folloutstillingen22.01.11: It was time for the Folloshow, and this was going to Maya's/ Zelini's Golden Goal  day. :-) 86 puppies of all breeds were entered, and Maya was the only Springer so that went just fine. In the group she was showing her socks off all the way to the first place, and the spectators said they had no doubt about the winner! Maya just wanted to win! She is showing so much I hardly manage to keep up with her. I feel it is a little messy but the spectators said it looked very nice. :-) After a little powernap for Maya she was ready for the BIS-final, and she wanted so much there as well but she was beaten by a lovely imported Doberman. We are very pleased that Maya now has her feet on the ground most of the time and that she is soooo happy in the ring. :-)

In Trondheim her sister  Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick  was entered to another puppyshow. She was BOB, but not placed in the group this day. Izzie has been shown in three puppyshows so far and she has been BOB all three times so she is really living up to her name Hattrick!  ;-)

Zelini's Hat Trick 6 mnd15.-16.01.11: WONDERFUL START ON THE NEW YEAR! Some of last years puppies have been to puppyshows this weekend, and they have really done us proud! Saturday Casper/ Zelini's Premier League was entered to a puppyshow in Lohja, Finland. Ten ESS-puppies were entered and Casper was BOS! ;-) See video of Casper on You Tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cUiII6o_6g It's really fun to see videos like that when they live so far away, and I was thrilled to see how happy he was and what a good mover he is!

Caspers sister Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick (the photo) was on a puppyshow in Trondheim, Norway, yesterday and she was BOB and she even won the group! This was a two day show and she had to go back for the BIS-final today. She ended up being BIS-3 among a total of 130 puppies of all breeds! Judge both days was Vibeke Paulsen, wellknown breeders of the fantastic beautiful Statesman American Cockers. Huge congratulations to clever owner  Dina Arnevik who handled Izzie herself.
Today there were another all breed puppyshow and this time on  Vinstra.  Bertil/ Zelini's Budweiser, owned by Marie Gundersen, was BIR and Group 2nd. Well done! Unfortunately the photo of Bertil was very blury, so I guess we have to show him here later. ;-)

04.12.10: Finnish owned (by kennel Kahdensiskon) Casper/ Zelini's Premier League has been to a puppyshow in Tallinn, Estonia, were he was BPOB. Unfortunately he lost his concentration in the final and was not placed.

27.11.10:  The Norwegian Spaniel Club is 75 years this year and celebrated with a huge jubilee-show with a new record of entries here in Norway. Judges were invited from England and USA, and a lovely lunch was served to all present. In other words; partytime!  :-) 18 ESS-puppies were entered and first in the ring was Bertil/ Zelini's Budweiser in the class 4-6 months. He won his class and was 2nd best male.  In puppy bitch 4-6 months we were heavily represented. Winner was Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal, 2nd was littersister Adja/ Zelini's Play Off and 3rd was Tress/ Zelini's Corona Extra. Maya was 2nd best bitch. Among the adults we didn't have many entered. Viggo/ NUCH. SEU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was entered in a HUGE championclass were he didn't place.  First I didn't mean to enter him but when I found out that some of his offspring were entered I thought it would be nice to enter a progeny class. This was his first and he got a Prize of Honour so that was nice. :-) ham. We had entered an open bitch, Ville/ Zelini's Barossa Valley, and she won a huge class and was placed as 4th best bitch among 50 something bitches. The bitch placed 3rd got the CC so it was a little bitter being that close to the CC in such tough competition...

Here are the puppies who were shown:

Her er beviset for at Maya denne gangen beveget seg mer framover enn oppover! ;-)Bertil/ Zelini's Budweiser

Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick

13.-14.11.10:
This was the first weekend possible for our summerpuppies to go to puppyshow as they were 4 months this week.  Three of them were shown and best of them was Izzie/ Zelini's Hattrick when she and her owner Dina Arnevik both made their debute in the ring in Orkdal Saturday. 9 Springer-puppies were entered and not only did Izzie win BOB-puppy, she was also placed 2nd in a large group where group 7 and 8 were judged together.  Well done, we are soooo proud of you!!!
The same day but another place, at Stord, Tress/ Zelini's Corona Extra was 2nd best bitch only beaten by the older bitch.
Sunday there were a puppyshow at Kongsberg and our own Maya/ Zelini's Golden Goal was entered. 8 Springerpuppies were entered, and I think it is the funniest thing ever for Maya. She bounced around the ring and looked like something between a kangaroo and a cirkushorse.... She won her class but was beaten by the older bitch who behaved a little better... We'll be back!!!!!!!

10.10.10: The Norwegian Kennel Club had their show at Hamar this day and we showed two dogs under judge Christen Lang.  Casper/ Zelini's Remington Super Magnum won juniorclass with EXC but was not placed any further as the judged correctly thought he needs more time. Ville/ Zelini's Barossa Valley was 3rd in Open with EXC.

25.-26.09.10: SUPER WEEKEND FOR VIGGO'S OFFSPRING!  Two shows were held in Bergen in western Norway this weekend and Viggo's offspring really did daddy proud!  :-) Saturday Cool Dogs Calvados took the dog-CC and was 2. best male. This was his 3rd CC. His littersister Cool Dogs Cha-Cha took the bitch-CC and was 2. best female. Sunday Viggo-son Bobwhite Spring Fairytale was BOB and BIS-3-puppy. Cool Dogs Calvados took the CC this day as well and he was even best dog and BOS!  Huge congratulations to all concerned!!! We are so proud of you all. ;-)

From our own breeding it seems like the working dogs are doing best nowadays. This time it was Iva/ Zelini's Alice Springs with owner Sigrun Erlandsen who had entered a hunting ability test and they passed under judge Per Løkken. Well done!
When I say the working dogs are doing best I must add that I haven't been to any shows for almost six months.  We will show more next year, but untill then it's fun that the workers are defending our good name and reputation!

18.09.10: In a show in Sortland, up north, Bobby/ Zelini's Remington Sportsman took his first CC and was even BOS. Happy owner is Per Jørgen Nordstrand.

05.09.10: ANOTHER GREAT DAY IN THE FOREST! Yesterday the Spaniel Club har their hunting ability test in Møre og Romsdaland judge was Inger Handegård. Seven dogs were entered, and four of them passed. One of those was Helene Botterli with Ville/ Zelini's Barossa Valley, and not only did they pass, Ville won the whole test! Helene was absolutely ecstatic on the phone and soooo proud!!!! She told me she had never won anything in her entire life and it was an absolutely amazing feeling!  Ville got a super review from the judge and we send our sincere congratulations to Helene. Well done!!!

In Sverige, in Vännäs, Viggo-son Creebay Ringside Rumour took his 3rd CC today and was 2nd best male. Unfortunately he is not yet two years and so he didn't get any title yet. But it will sure come!  :-)

In the middle the winner Anne Britt Vifladt with NUCH. VCH. Zelini's Annie Get Your Gun. Left no. 2 and right no. 3 Per Jørgen Nordstrand and Zelini's Remington Sportsman21.08.10: SUPER TRACKINGDAY!: We are very busy in the kennel nowadays with 14 puppies almost ready to leave but luckily other people are out there defending our honour and good reputation! :-)  This day there were a tracking trial in Bjerkvik, near  Narvik up north, and entered there was Anne Britt Vifladt with Annie/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Annie Get Your Gun and Per Jørgen Nordstrand with Annie-son Bobby/ Zelini's Remington Sportsman. Bobby made his debut this day and he did it with style! I received a very happy SMS telling me they got a 1st prize! Annie started shortly after, and she was even better. She got a 1st prize and a Prize of Honour  (from a judge claiming he never gives Prizes of Honour!) and she won the whole trial! Bobby was placed third. Congratulations to you both for a fantastic day.  :-)
At the spanielclub trial in Askvoll in Sogn and Fjordane the very same day Annie-daughter Tuva/ Zelini's Diamond Hunter gained her second 1st prize and was placed as no 4. Owners are Ellen and Torstein Solset. Huge congratulations to you as well!

25.07.10: Other people are going to shows while we are cuddling the puppies. Viggo-son Cool-Dogs Calvados took his second CC yesterday at the Spaniel Club show in Moss. Judge was Kari Haave. Well done to owner/ breeder Lisbeth Sandlund.

Tiril

TIRIL / NUCH. NVCH. ZELINI'S DEEP PURPLE
01.03.99 - 15.07.10

It's been a few days since Tiril left us, and hopefully I manage to write a few words. Tiril has been very healthy all her life untill February this year. She seemed tired and not very well and we took our first trip to the vet.  After that we had several trips to the vet during the spring/ summer and there were new things coming up every time. I understood which direction it took but nevertheless it was tough for us when she collapsed and her body couldn't make it anymore. The vet told me that the right diagnosis was old age. Tiril was a dog with tons of personality, and sometimes she was a little too much. But she was always kind and good with everyone, and it's terribly quiet in the house without her.... We miss her a lot, but is happy to have her children and grandchildren around us. She has had a huge impact in our breeding programme, and we will always remember her. Rest in peace, our beloved Tiril!

14.07.10: We got 3 puppies on 12.07.10! For more information take a look at our puppypage -> current litters.

Cool-Dogs Calvados tar sitt første cert!

09.07.10: We got 11 puppies on 08.07.10! For more information take a look at our puppypage -> current litters.

Last weekend some Viggo-offspring did well in the ring. :-) In Sweden the Springerklubben had their Club Show and BIS-intermediate was Creebay Ringside Rumour. Well done to owner Emma Rehn and breeder Lena Vängbo.
Here in Norway there was a double-show in Trondheim the same weekend, and Sunday Cool-Dogs Calvados took his first CC! He was also 2nd best dog. 3rd best dog was another Viggo-son by the name NSVCH. Ursa Major's Supermario. Among the bitches Calvados' sister Cool-Dogs Cha Cha was placed as 4th best bitch.  Huge congratulations to owners and breeders!

The picture is showing  Cool-Dogs Calvados towards his first CC!

11.06.10: ULTRASOUND: We have been to an ultrasound today and both girls are pregnant with normalsize litters! If you want to read more about our upcoming litters please take a look at our puppy page -> currents litters.

05.06.10:  The summer is here and we are still resting on our laurel's after our success in Finland.  :-) But others are active and that's good.  Today Tuva/ Zelini's Diamond Hunter, owned by Ellen and Torstein Solset, got  a 1st prize on a tracking trial in Luster. Winner of this trial was a Viggo-daughter named NVCH. Merjano's Barbie Girl. She got a 1st prize with a Prize of Honour. Last weekend there were two shows at Jevnaker, and I just had a couple of youngsters entered.  On Saturdays show Ville/ Zelini's Barossa Valley was 2nd in intermediate with a Prize of Honour. Emil/ NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof was 3rd in championclass. Sunday I showed  Casper/ Zelini's Remington Super Magnum in juniorclass where he was placed 3rd. Casper was unfortunately way to skinny, and hopefully he will do better later on when he has gained some weight. :-) Ville/ Zelini's Barossa Valley was 2nd in intermediate this day as well, this time with excellent. Emil/ NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof was 3rd in championclass with excellent.
I guess there are some of you waiting for news about the pregnant ones. :-) We are going to an ultrasound on Friday, and I will publish the result here immediately. Kelly is most certainly pregnant as she has been feeling sick during the last week.
Ylva was mated almost a week later than Kelly and it's hard to tell so far if she's pregnant or not. We will get the answer Friday. :-),

25.05.10: NEW INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION!!!!! Thursday morning we sat in the car, Kari Knudsen and I, headed for Finland. We drove to Stockholm and took the nightboat over to Helsinki. When I ordered the tickets it was very difficult to know what kind of cabin we got because there were just a lot of codes that didn't mean a thing to me.   Luckily we got a super cabin with plenty of space and even a TV. :-) We had a nice evening with good food and cosy surroundings.  Friday morning we drove into Helsinki, and to the hotel recommended by the show committee. The hotel  was situated only 1,5 km's from the showground and during the Friday we were walking the dogs to the show area to get to know the place.

Zelini's West Side Story won championclass, and ended up as 2nd best dog with res. CC and res. cacib. He had one of these days where he wouldn't stand still for a second which makes me so stressed.... When it was time for Ylva /NUCH. SE U(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever she started with winning the championclass. Then she went best bitch with CC and cacib and finally BOS. That makes her a Finnish champion (and Nordic champion with titles in Norway, Sweden and Finland) and International champion!!!! This was our third International champion of our own breeding !!!! It was a little too much for me and I must admit I cried some tears of joy there. :-) Ylva is mummy's girl and it was a little too much for mummy a moment.... It was a little hard to concentrate for the BOB-competition so I look deadly serious on the photos! I called home when it was all over and I didn't manage to say anything, just cried and cried, but my husband Øyvind understood what happened! :-D

After Saturdays show the trip went on to Hamina about 150 km's southeast of  Helsinki. It felt kind of strange driving towards Russia and we saw signs with "St. Petersburg 315 km's" on them, and we even saw signs with Russian letters. It was quite exotic and when we arrived the hotel there were even some Russian people there and some of them were pretty drunk! But they were friendly and very happy to see the dogs.
Sunday the show were held inside an old fortress and it was a very pretty place to be. (See the photos). There were even a lot of birds landing in the ring and they didn't care at all about the dogs and the people. I was not the only one having problems trying to make my dogs to keep the focus. Judge for 21 Springers was Tarja Hovila, kennel Adamant, Finland. Viggo was 2nd best dog with res. CC and res. cacib this day as well so there weren't any new titles for him this weekend. Ylva was 2nd best bitch but she got her titles Saturday so it didn't matter.

18.04.10: NEW CHAMPION-OFFSPRING: Today Viggo got another champion-offspring when Merjano's Barbie Girl took her tracking-title! Well done to breeder and owner.

Still no news about the girl's seasons....

03.04.10: TRIP TO STOCKHOLM: We left home in rain and snow and 0 C and arrived Stockholm with the sun shining and +10 C. There were no snow at all in Stockholm, and we even saw some flowers blooming already.  Meriel Hathaway (UK) had 63 Springers, and we brought Viggo and Ylva this time. Viggo/ NUCH. SE U(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story  was 2nd in a strong championclass, only beaten by his daddy Lleyton. Viggo was also 4th best dog. Ylva /NUCH. SE U(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever won a championclass with very nice bitches and ended up 2nd best bitch with  res. cacib AGAIN! We miss that one cacib for an international title and it feels a little like time is running out for us now.  Ylva is seven now, and will have her last litter this summer. Hopefully she will be in condition again after the puppies and we have to see if there are any shows suiting us, but it feels a little slow right now.....

For those of you waiting for our bitches to come into season - so are we!!! Nothing is happening at the moment....

06.02.10: This year started with a Spaniel Club Specialty in Skien where Anne Berit Waskaas judged the adults and Karl Eddie Berge the puppies. We had brought a lot of young dogs this day and for many of them it was their very first show.   Intermediate class dog was won by Ragg/ Zelini's Surfers Paradise who later on was 3rd best dog. He even took his second CC on his seond show!  :-D In championclass Viggo/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was placed 4th with EXC and Emil/ NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof was 5th. In juniorclass bitches there were two sister entered,  Tira/ Zelini's Franchi Alcione and Lykke/ Zelini's Beretta Ultra Light. Tira was placed as no. 4 and Lykke wasn't placed this day. In intermediate Iva/ Zelini's Alice Springs was placed 2nd. Three Springerpuppies were entered under Karl Eddie Berge, and Kiro/ Zelini's Smooth Criminal was the youngest of them all. But he had no respect for the older puppies and went BOB and BIS-3-puppy. :-D  This Spanielclub even had juniorhandling and the winner was Margit Spikkerud with Emil/ NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof .

Zelini's Surfers Paradise tok sitt andre cert på sin andre utstilling!Zelini's Smooth Criminal BIS-3-valp

Kennel Zelini BIS breeder at the International all breed Kennl Club show in Stavanger 2009 under mr. Arne Foss

LOOKING BACK AT THE YEAR 2009:
Well, where do I start? This has been a fantastic year, and I have so many fantastic people around me and I wouldn't have made it without them. The greatest achievement is without doubt that kennel Zelini was no. 3 Top Breeder of the Year All Breeds. We have shown our breeders groups at 6 kennel club shows and we were placed at the first five with two wins, one runner up, one third and one fourth. We have even won BIS-breeder at all the Spaniel Specialties we have shown our group.  Earlier years I have had a breeders group from time to time and I have really not thought much about what it takes. I did well those few times so this year we decided to give it a try!  I think that no-one that hasn't tried this knows how much work it is. At least four dogs  have to be kept in top muscle- and coat-condition, they have to be kept in good health and free of injuries. This goes for the handlers as well which has been quite a challenge in these times of svineflu...  The bitches are also preferred not to be in season at the day of the show.  A total of six dogs have been shown in the groups this year, and as time went by two of them were no longer able to compete, so it was very important that the rest of them were up and going. NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple (10 years in March 2009) was retired because she didn't like it anymore and NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof had an injury in his back after a fall on the agility-course. The rest: NUCH. Zelini's Macchiato, NUCH. Zelini's Cappuccino, NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever and NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story managed to stay healthy the rest of the year and managed to take the 3rd place on the list. I really have to thank all my fantastic handlers and the owners of the dogs. It was fantastic how you contributed and made this possible. Thank you all!

In addition to the breeders groups there have been very good individual results with 7 new titles to the Zelini's this year. NUCH. Zelini's Macchiato, NUCH. Zelini's Cappuccino and NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof all got their showchampiontitles this year. NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Annie Get Your Gun got her trackingtitle, NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story got his Swedish showchampiontitle and DtJCH. DCH. VDH Dt Klub CH. Zelini's On Cloud Nine got two of his three titles this year. We even have two more CC-winners this year:  Zelini's Give Me Five and Zelini's Surfers Paradise.

The workers have been few but good. As mentioned above NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Annie Get Your Gun got a 1st prize on a tracking trial and her trackingtitle. One weekend later she took another 1st prize and at the same trial NUCH. NSVCH. Zelini's Next to Nothing took a  1st prize as well. He even got a Prize of Honour.  In the obediencering NUCH. Zelini's Cappuccino took a 1st prize in class 1, and she even won the class with fantastic 190,5 points (out of 200 possible). Zelini's The Chosen One started in class 2, and got a 1st prize with 168,5 points.

We have had two litters this year. In April nine puppies were born by SU(u)CH. Cloette's Joy and Pride ex NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Annie Get Your Gun, and in September we had 9 puppies again, this time by NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story ex Zelini's Give Me Five.

Viggo's offspring have done well this year despite their young age. From his first litter NUCH. Ursa Majors Scarlett and NVCH. SVCH. Ursa Major's Supermario both got their titles this year. Merjano's Barbie Girl got one CC, 4 x 1st prize at tracking trials, she has passed the hunting test and is qualified for searching wounded game. Springtrend Red Benly and Backa Tinkerbell Jaunty Me both got CC's and a few more have done great at puppyshows with BOB and group- and BIS-wins.  Good luck with the Viggo-babies!

I will once again thank all of you who do such fantastic work with your  Zelini's and I wish you all the best for the future!!!! Without you I wouldn't have all this success!!! I am really looking forward to continued co-operation and spending more time with you in the future. Keep up the good work!!!!

13.12.09: In Sweden this years final shows was held in Stockholm today. We have spent this weekend at home but one of Viggo's young offspring have done really well.  10 months old Backa Tinkerbell Jaunty Me won the juniorclass with EXC, but she didn't stop there! She ended up being 3rd best bitch (out of 57 bitches) and took her first CC! The funny thing is that the mating producing her took place at the very same show last year!!! Huge congratulations to owner/ breeder Elvy Skogli Eurenius.

Kelly03.10.09: ANOTHER CHAMPION!!!!! This weekend the Kennel Club had their show at Hamar and it was lovely having only a one hour drive this time. The trip to Stavanger could still be felt in my body! Judge Line M. Haugen, kennel La-Faja, made her debute in the Springerring and she had a little over 40 Springers entered. Viggo/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was 3rd best male, and Ylva / NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was 4th best female. Kelly/ Zelini's Cappuccino took her third CC (two of them at NKC-shows) and her championtitle! Congratulations to Karoline Johansen who has had a fantastic autumn with her dogs. The breedersgroup containing the three beforementioned dogs and Lorang/ NUCH. Zelini's Macchiato got a Prize of Honour, and was eventually placed as BIS-3. Of course I am very happy for that placing which means we are still among the top 3 breeders of Norway this year, but the judge (not the same as the breedjudge!!!!)  seemed like she couldn't care less... It didn't feel good at all. The breeders group are usually prejudged in a ring next to the main ring, but not this time.  We stacked the dogs when she entered the ring but she told us to relax. "I'll do the judging in the main ring" she said and turned her back at us. We were the last group to enter the ring, and we hadn't even begun to stack our dogs when we saw the judge list up her placings for the ringsteward. None of the groups were allowed to move their dogs, she didn't touch the dogs or go over any of the groups. She just stood there in the middle of the ring and made her placements in less than 30 seconds... It just doesn't feel right! Don't misunderstand me, the groups that were no 1 and 2 are really good groups so there is nothing wrong with them, but we had been there all day and the judge didn't make an endeavour at all to do her job. The competition among the breeders groups at the Kennel Club shows is very hard and it's quite a job keeping at least four even dogs in hard show condition all year long and I think we deserve judges that care a little bit more than that. It was very disappointing having a judge like that.

Here you have the breeders group this time: From the left Siw Kristoffersen with NUCH. Zelini's Macchiato, Cathrine Spikkerud with NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story, Karoline Johansen with NUCH. Zelini's Cappuccino and Heidi Fosberg with NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever. Photo: Stig Arne Kjellevold

14.09.09: WE GOT PUPPIES: We got 9 puppies on Monday. Check out our puppypage -> current litter for more information.

12.-13.09.09: TEAM ZELINI ON TOUR! Friday morning we packed the car full of dogs and ladies and headed for Sandnes/ Stavanger. The trip went really well even though it was quite a while to drive. The Norwegian Kennel Club had their International all breed show in Stavanger and Kari Granaas Hansen (kennel Carillo) was invited to judge the 27 Springers entered. We had all kinds of weather except for snow during the day so we looked quite rumpled both dogs and handlers... We brought three males and they all placed in best dog! 2nd best dog with CC, championat-title and res. cacib was Lorang/ Zelini's Macchiato, 3rd best dog was Emil/ NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof and 4th was Viggo/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story. We brought two bitches and they did even better! Best bitch, BOS and cacib went to Ylva / NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever. 2nd best bitch with CC and res. cacib was Kelly/ Zelini's Cappuccino. Our breeders group got a Prize of Honour. The finals were judged indoors and we looked more or less like drowned cats...  We carried all crates and stuff inside and just had to start blowdrying everything! First the dogs, our own hair and our clothes.... We all managed to get dry eventually. There were 8-10 groups in the ring and the judge didn't send any of them out before he started placing them. First no. 4, then no. 3 and no. 2.... It was quite exciting because quite a few groups were still present in the ring. One of them would win and the rest just had to leave the ring... ... AND WE WON!!!!! What a wonderful feeling when the speaker announced that  " BIS-breeder today iiiiissssss KENNEL ZELINI with English Springer Spaniel!" We have now placed in the final in all the four NKC-shows we have been to this year and right now we are no. 3 on the top breeder list all breeds!

Zelini's Smith & Wesson 4,5 mndSunday the Spaniel Club had their specialty and the judge Michael Masters (kennel Manchela) had  22 Springers in the ring. He was not that excited about our dogs and only two of them were placed.   Viggo/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was 2nd best dog and Ylva / NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was 4th best bitch. The bitch-CC went to a Viggo-daughter -  Springtrend Red Benly.
This day we also showed the 4,5 month old Orion/ Zelini's Smith & Wesson. He lives nearby the showground and I hadn't seen him since he left us 8 weeks old. Owner Therese Z. Larsen had trained him well and he was a pleasure to handle. He himself had a little trouble dealing with his long legs and he was definately in the worst age. :-) Orion was BOB and BIS-3-puppy.

Karoline og Kelly vant!30.08.09: THE WORKING DOGS DID IT TODAY! There's is no problem staying at home when you have such skilful puppybuyers. ;-) First one out this morning was Karoline Johansen and her Kelly/ Zelini's Cappuccino who attended an obedience trial. They started in class 1, got a 1st prize and won the class with 190,5 points (out of 200 possible)! Both Kelly and  Karoline were really eager and they had great fun in the ring. The judge said he didn't remember when he last gave so many points to a dog in that class. We congratulate you a lot, and we are so proud of you girls!!!

Up north Anne Britt Vifladt started at a tracking trial with her two dogs and they did quite well too. First one out was Max/ NUCH. NSVCH. Zelini's Next to Nothing and he got a 1st prize with Prize of Honour and was placed second at the trial.  Annie/NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Annie Get Your Gun, who got her tracking title last weekend, did also get a 1st. prize this day. It was very difficult conditions for the dogs due to the heat and dry weather so the dogs really impressed the judges.  Well done!

22.08.09: ANOTHER DOUBLECHAMPION!
Today was obviously the trackers' day. Up north Anne Britt Vifladt and her Annie/ NUCH. Zelini's Annie Get Your Gun attended a tracking trial and they achieved a 1st prize and was placed 2nd, which means Annie got her tracking title as well! She is the third doublechampion (show and tracking) in her litter and there are even two more showchampions in that litter! It's quite a litter...
At a local trial here Karoline (Johansen) started her NUCH. Copy Cat Hookey's Waterhole and he got his third 1st prize as well and even his tracking title. The Viggo-son NVCH. Ursa Major's Supermario got another 1st prize at this title.

16.08.09:
A couple of Viggo's offspring have been out this weekend. Saturday at the Spanielclub-show in Oslo Ursa Major's Scarlett took her third CC and her Norwegian championtitle under Ann Corbett (Trimere). Sunday Backa-Tinkerbells Just Me was BPOB at SKK's Int allbreed show in Nyköping. Congratulations to owners of both!
We were BIS-4 breeders at NKK's Int. all breed show in Oslo Sunday and I think we are 4th at the list of top breeder all breeds so far this year. The results will be published from NKK later this week.

Viggo with his Swedish CC10.08.09: SUPERNICE WEEKEND IN SWEDEN: Friday morning I loaded the car with dogs and stuff and started the long trip down to the south of Sweden. First of all we were going to visit kennel Trollängen to take a look at their puppies. (No, I am not having one...) The puppies where lovely and it was a very even litter with lots of quality. We enjoyed a lovely lunch and a lot of springerchat before we headed off for kennel Beeline in Helsingborg. We were staying there for the weekend. It was as always lovely to meet and to talk about the breed we love so much! It was wonderful meeting Sheila/ Zelini's Great Sandy Desert again as well and I haven't seen her since she left us at 10 weeks. Saturday we were preparing the dogs for the show Sunday giving them all a bath. We had a very nice time Saturday night celebrathing Ingrid Svensson's (kennel Sanque's) 50th birthday. Again a great mix of good food and Springertalk. ;-) Sunday we were going to an International all breed show in Ronneby about 200 km's away. Finnish judge Paula Heikkinen- Lehkonen judged 43 Springers. Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story won open class and ended up as 4th best dog and he won the CC and got his Swedish title! Sheila won juniorclass with EXC. Ylva / NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was 2nd in championclass and 2nd best bitch with res. cacib sooo close to an International championtitle.... Well, well, anyway we are very satisfied with the day even though it was a little too hot. The drive back home went really well even though it was a little bit longer than I thought. I thought it was about 600 km's but it turned out to be 720 km's... But with a new Swedish champion in the car it was no big deal actually! ;-)

Pia/ Zelini's Give Me Five has been to an ultrasound and is pregnant. Her puppies are due mid September. Read more about this litter in our puppy pages.

Latest news about Viggo's offspring: Merjano's Barbie Girl took her first CC last weekend!

Ragg/ Zelini's Surfers Paradise tok cert fra juniorklasse!

26.07.09: Moss Dogclub had invited the Danish judge Birthe Scheel to judge 21 Springers. Our team was well represented and it turned out like this:  2nd best dog Even/ NUCH. Copy Cat's Hookeys Waterhole, belonging to Karoline. 3rd best dog Emil/ NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof (owner Cathrine Spikkerud). Dog-CC went to a debutant in juniorclass, 11 months old Ragg/ Zelini's Surfers Paradise owned by Svein Schjølberg. We had only one bitch with us, Kelly/ Zelini's Cappuccino, but she did well with 3rd best bitch and her first CC! Congratulations to co-owner and handler Karoline Johansen.

Zelini's Surfers Paradise took the CC on his first show!

Kelly on the move!

Viggo's offspring is continuing to do well. Cool Dog's Calvados was BPOB and even won the group and his sister Cool Dog's Cha-Cha was BOS-puppy. In the woods has Mira/ Merjano's Barbie Girl attended two tracking trials this weekend and she got a 1st prize on both!  This young girl has now 4 x 1st prize, but she is not yet 2 years old so we have to wait for her showmerits for her tracking title.

Kelly on the move!

18.07.09: Viggo has got his first champion-offspring! Ursa Major's Supermario has managed to achieve three 1st prizes in a row on tracking trials and he even got Prize of Honour twice. He is now a NVCH. Congratulations to owner Vibeke Gundersen and breeder Solveig Holth. This is from the first litter sired by Viggo and they were two years old in May this year, so we hope there are more to come ;-)

05.07.09: Viggo's (NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story) offspring are continuing their winning ways this weekend. 25.06.09: In the summerheat Astri Merethe Helle and Mocca/ Zelini's Caffè Mocca have entered a tracking trial and they got their 2nd 1st prize. We hope for one more this summer to achieve the championtitle! :-) A son of Viggo, Ursa Majors Supermario, did also achieve a 1st prize in a tracking trial and he even got a Prize of Honour.

17.06.09: I am sorry to tell you that Scarlett is not pregnant, so there will be no puppies here for a little while. Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in our future puppy-plans.

13.06.09: 1.PRIZE OBEDIENCE CLASS 2: Anakin/ Zelini's The Chosen One and Marianne Aarstad had a good day winning obedience class 2 today. They got 1. prize with 168,5 points.

07.06.09: BIS-2 BREEDER AT THE NKK All Breed Int Drammen: This show was held in all kinds of weather except snow... Judge this day was Yvonne Meintjes from South-Afrika, and even though she didn't give out many excellents she said afterwards that the quality on the Springers here in Norway was incredibly high and it was a nice problem to have so many lovely dogs to chose from when placing them... Well, well, the only one of our boys getting an excellent was Emil/ NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof. He was 3rd in championclass, but was not placed further. Ylva / NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was placed 2nd in championclass with EXC, but was not placed further. Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple was 2nd in veteran with EXC. Our breeders group got a prize of Honour and in pouring rain we were placed as BIS-2 only beaten by a nice group of Flat Coated Retrievers. We are now placed as no. 4 on the Kennel Club list over top winning breeders all breeds even though we have only shown groups at two Kennel Club shows this year.

06.06.09: NEW TITLE IN GERMANY: In Neumünster in Germany Svenja Loose showed her Lasse/DtJCH. DCH. VDH Zelini's On Cloud Nine at an International all breed show under Mr. Erwin Deutscher (Austria), and they took CC, cacib and BOB. He even got a German Klub champion-title! Well done!

30.05. - 31.05.: The Norwegian Spaniel Klub had hte Main Show Saturday with Mr. Stig Arne Kjellevold, kennel Westaway, judging Spaniels for the very first time in this country. We had one puppy entered, Ragg/ Zelini's Surfers Paradise, and he was shown in the class 6-9 months. This was the puppyclass with the biggest entry and he won it! He was beaten by the younger puppy dog though for best dog competition so he was finally 2nd best dog.  We had a few more grown ups and first out were the boys in championclass; Even/ NUCH Copy-Cat Hookeys Waterhole (owned by Karoline who is extremely important for our team!), Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story and Emil/ NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof. In championclass these three boys were placed as no. 1, 2 and 4. Even was even placed as 3rd best dog. Among the girls   Ylva / NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was 2nd in championclass and 3rd best bitch. Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple got EXC and was 2nd in veteran but not placed further.
Our breeders group got an Prize of Honour and ended up as BIS-breeder! The dogs from left to right: NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof, NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story, NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple and NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever. We got a fantastic critique I just have toshare with you: "Fantastic group of highest quality. It's very rare to see dogs so similar in type from one and same kennel. They all have particularly beautiful heads. Three out of four have super fronts. All have fantastic hindquarters. Effective movement typical of the breed. They are all shown in top muscle- and coat condition. Lovely coats. An exemplary breeders work to be followed. CONGRATULATIONS!"  Thank you so much to judge  Stig Arne Kjellevold for those beautiful words, and to Frank Bjerklund for this lovely photo.

BIS oppdretter Hovedutstillingen 2009

Sunday NSK Buskerud had their show at the same showground and judge this day was Mr. Jan Roger Sauge, wellknown for his beautiful Mambrino Labradors. We had no puppies this day but was involved nevertheless when Viggo-daughter  Cool Dogs Cha-Cha went BOB and BIS-1-puppy. Litterbrother Cool Dogs Calvados was BOS. Well done to owner and breeder Lisbeth Sandlund! First one out from our team was Lorang/ Zelini's Macchiato who won Open class with EXC, but unfortunately he wasn't placed further.  Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was 3rd in championclass and 4th best dog. Among the girls Kelly/ Zelini's Cappuccino was placed 3rd in open class.  Ylva / NUCH. SU(u)CH. 09.-10.05.09: ZELINI'S SUPERWEEKEND!
We had a wonderful time in Kristiansand this weekend! the fun started  Saturday at the Int all breed Kennel Club show where
Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story first won a really stron championclass and the went all the way winning best male and BOS with cacib. We also had to adult ladies with us and the best one of them was Ylva/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever. She was 4th best bitch. Judge this day was the Italian Guiseppe Allessandra.

BUT the day had just started for us... We showed a breeders class who got a prize of honour and it went all the way and won BIS-breeder!!! It was incredibly fun beating a lot of breeders classes who have done really well the last years. We have shown our breeders classes mostly in the Spaniel Specialties so this was a lot of fun!

BIS-valp Kristiansand 10.05.09 Zelini's Alice Springs

Sunday was another day with beautiful weather and we were going to the Spaniel Club Specialty where Gareth Lawler (UK) was invited to judge. Gareth is wellknown for his lovely Roqfolly Springers. One of the puppies born here last autumn met us there and we were so pleased to see her. She had developed so nicely and she went all the way and won BPIS!

The adults continued doing our day! Lorang/ Zelini's Macchiato took his second CC, Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story went 4th best dog, and Ylva/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was 3rd best bitch. Granny Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple got EXC but was not placed this day.  We showed the same breeders group as the previous day and won BIS-breeder this day as well!!!!

03.05.09: Astri Merete Helle and her Zelini's Caffè Mocca got their first 1st prize at a tracking trial today. They are planning for more trials so we are waiting for more exciting news this summer. A daughter of Viggo, Merjano's Barbie Girl, got her second 1st prize at a tracking trial yesterday.

02.05.09: The Spaniel Club in Rogaland had originally invited Susan Sheilds (UK) to judge but she was sick so in a very short notice Frank Bjerklund (kennel Westaway) approved to judge there. That was a good thing because he awarded the BOB and BIS-3 to Emil/ NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof. We congratulate owner Cathrine Spikkerud with a wonderful weekend! I assume the long way back home is no big deal now. :-) Cathrine is doing all the trimming and handling all by herself so we are really proud of them!!! Well done!!! BOS this day was INT NSUCH NVCH Nimblewhit In a Mellowtone.

02.05.09: In Sweden Zelini's Snowy Mountains made her debute at the Springerclub puppyshow under UK-judge Bob Jackson (kennel Mompesson). Zoe was BOB and BIS-2. Congratulations to owner Annelie Karlsson, kennel Linmoor.

On the left BOB: NUCH. Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof01.05.09: NEW CHAMPION: In Rogaland Marion Sloan judged 17 Springers and she gave the CC, champion-title and BOB to Cathrine Spikkerud's Emil/ Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof. Our sincere gratulations!!! Emil is the 5th champion in that litter. There were eight puppies in that litter, two of them have never been shown, one has got EXC, and five are champions (two of them even show- and trackingchampions!) Do I need to say we are very pleased with that litter? BOS went to NORDCH Nimblewhit Winter Affair and the bitch-CC went to the Viggo-daughter Springtrend Red Benly.

01.05.09: ANOTHER TITLE IN GERMANY: In Germany there was an International europasieger-show and Walter Schickter judged the Springers. He gave the CC and the Dt CH. VDH-title to Svenja Loose's DtJCH. Zelini's On Cloud Nine. Well done!

24.04.09: WE GOT PUPPIES!!!! Annie got her puppies yesterday and there were a total of 9 puppies, 3 boys and 6 girls. One of the boys and three of the girls are liver/white/tan and the rest of them are liver/white. It all went very well and Annie is an excellent mother. They have all gained weight during their first 24 hours and they are all full of life. You can read more about them at our puppypage.

WE ARE EXPECTING A SECOND LITTER:
This week we did an AI on Scarlett with the imported semen from the beautiful Australian boy AUS CH. Kinsheran Kilimanjaro. She is due in week 26. You can find more information about this litter on the page "planned litters".

23.03.09: Annie has been to the vet today for an ultrasound and according to the vet she has a normalsize litter.

Tiril

01.03.09: TIRIL 10 YEARS! Our grand old lady and leader of the pack, Tiril / NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple, had her 10th anniversary today  and the day was of course celebrated with sausages! Tiril is still very vigorous and she is our only dog jumping voluntary up on the trimming table or over our 1 meter garden fence... Tiril had her best year ever in the ring last year with Karoline handling her. At the Spanielclub-lists she was no. 10 on the top winning ESS-list, and that was her best placement ever. She is not shown much during her earlier years, and her best placement untill 2008 was no. 12. In 2008 she was also runner up for the top winning veteran all Spaniels breeds. We have only three dogs living here with us and the two others were placed like this on the top ESS-list: Ylva/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever no. 5 and Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story no. 9. In Germany DtJCH. Zelini's On Cloud Nine was placed as no. 8 on their list.

25.02.09: WE ARE EXPECTING PUPPIES:  We have been on a long drive to Sweden where Annie has been mated. Puppies are due late April. You can read more about it on our puppypages.

14.02.09: Annie is now in season and will soon be mated. Look out for news on our puppypages!

23.11.08: BIS-2-BREEDER AT NKK HAMAR!!!!! Mrs. Tarja Hovila from Finland, wellknown for her beautiful Adamant's ESS, judged 57 ESS at the last show this year. Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was 3rd in the championclass with EXC. His mum Ylva/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever ended as 2nd best bitch with EXC and res. cacib. Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple was second in veteranclass with EXC beaten by this days BIS-veteran CH. Westbound Way to Go. Our sincere congratulations goes to Frank and Stig! Our breeders group went BOB. There were a lot of breeders groups in the final and there were hardly room for all the groups in the ring. We were so proud to be placed 2nd among all those nice groups! Unfortunately nobody took photos in the big ring so I have nothing to show you. All the winners were photographed somewhere else but the other ones placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th was not photographed at all. Quite strange in such a big show!

08.11.08: All the puppies are gone now after we brought little Sheila with us to kennel Beeline in Helsingborg, Sweden, this weekend. We have had a lot of positive feedback and they are all doing well in their new homes.
We didn't go all the way to Helsingborg just for handing Sheila over to Eva, we also attended the SSRK' show in Åstorp. We didn't have our best day in the ring and all we got was Tiril as BIS-3-veteran. We can get that at home so that's not why we went there....
Because we went to that show Saturday and came home at 9 p.m. after a 600 km drive we were not going to the show in Kongsberg Sunday. Emil/ Zelini's Fiddler On The Roof  represented us and he won open class with EXC and was placed as 2nd best dog. In the puppyring a Viggo-daughter won BPOB! Springtrend Red Benly was best out of 8 ESS-puppies and she was later that day placed as BIG-3!

From our previous litter we co-own  Zelini's Barossa Valley/ Ville with Helene Botterli in Molde. Before Ville left us we took a DNA-test, and the answer came this week. Ville is GPRA Cord1 Clear.

06.10.08: Yesterday the NKC had their International all breed show at Kongsvinger and judge for 45 Springers was the Belgian Labrador-breeder Phillippe Lammens. Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story won a really strong championclass, but was beaten in best dog where he was placed 3rd and he got the res.cacib. Toten-Tiril/ Zelini's Double Espresso was 3rd in intermediate even though she was completely naked! I am sure she will do better when she has grown some more hair.... Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple was 2nd in veteran but not placed in best bitch.

Birk apporterer nyskutt and til far!The hunting season is here and the hunting reports keep coming in. Some of the photos are unfortunately only coming to my mobile so Birk/ NUCH. Zelini's Jesus Christ Superstar have to represent the hunters with this duck he is retrieving to dad! Rossi/ Zelini's Twentyfour Carat has been to woodland hunting and his latest catch was a big blackcock. In the west of Norway Wilma/ Zelini's Sound of Music has tracked several  deers and elks and the hunters shot a 300 kg bull elk for her.

23.09.08: We got a nice mail from Svenja Loose in Germany telling us that her Lasse/ DtJCH. Zelini's On Cloud Nine has been x-rayed and the result was A1. That's the best possible result! 6 out of 9 puppies in that litter has now been x-rayed and they all got A-hips.

21.09.08: Joppe/ Zelini's Shoot Baby Shoot has been to his first puppyshow. He won the breed and the group but when we were in the BIS-ring he was sooo tired he could hardly stand on his feet. He rolled over on his back or tried to jump on me all the time so the poor judge was not able to see how beautiful he is. But with some more training we will do better next time!

13.-14.09.08: TEAM ZELINI IN STAVANGER:
Our team was once again represented by Karoline Johansen and Cathrine Spikkerud. This time they brought Emil/ Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof, Kelly/ Zelini's Cappuccino, Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story and Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple. Saturday there was a Spanielclub show and judge was the John Gillespie (UK) known worldwide for his beautiful Lochranza Cocker Spaniels. BOB and BIS-1 was the wellknown NORDUCH. Westaway Into the Mystic. Our sincere congratulations goes to Frank and Stig! But our team did really well anyway! Viggo was 2nd best dog and 3rd best dog with CC was his brother Emil. This was his first CC and he is the 5th in his litter to achieve CC. Kelly won the intermediate class with a Prize of Honour and Tiril was 2nd best bitch and BOB-veteran. Our breeders group got a Prize of Honour. But the girls didn't stop there! Our breeders group went all the way to BIS-1 and so did Tiril who was BIS-1-veteran for the 4th time this year! It's even the 4th time we win BIS-1 with our breeders group. It's obviously no problem staying at home with small puppies when I have so good people around me!
Sunday there was an International all breed Kennel Club show with Danish Alex Krasilnikoff judging 21 Springers. Emil got the CC this day as well and was placed as 2nd best dog with res. cacib. 3rd best dog was Viggo. Kelly won the intermediate class with a Prize of Honour and Tiril was 3rd best bitch and BOB-veteran. Our breeders group got another Prize of Honour and was later that day placed as BIS-3! Tiril came quite late for the BIS-veteran final because of the breeders group and she was not placed this day.

Thanks a million, girls!!!! You did a marvellous job and I feel a little reduntant here....

I got some news about a son of Viggo: Merjano's Bobby Brown passed the hunting ability test this weekend. Well done!

Tiril BIS-veteran Rygge

06.09.08: Today the spanielclub in Østfold had their show in the beautiful place called Rygge bygdetun. Judge was Christen Lang, and he had 36 Springers entered. I was not present as I was at home with my small puppies and I was preparing a birthday party for my dad at 70.  Team Zelini was represented by Cathrine Spikkerud and her Emil/ Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof and Karoline Johansen who showed her own Even/ NUCH. Copy-Cat Hookeys Waterhole and Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple. First one out was Emil who was placed 4th in open with EXC. Then there was Even who really had his day and showed himself as best he could. He won the championclass, and was later on best dog and BOS! BOB was Ursa Major's Shine On. Tiril showed really well (see the photo on the left), and won championclass and was placed 3rd best bitch. In the end she was even BIS-veteran!!!! There is absolutely no problem staying at home when the rest of the team is doing such a good job!! Well done Karoline with a great day!

Valborg 5,5 mnd

We received a nice mail about one of Viggo's offspring. 6 months old Valborg / Springtrend Red Benly has been to a big all breed puppyshow where she went BOB, BOG and BIS-2!!! It was a fantastic debut, and we congratulate Snorre and Ragnhild Aslaksen so much. More Viggo-offspring have been out; His first litter was born at kennel Ursa Major and Ursa Majors Scarlett got the CC at NKK Trondheim this spring. Two of her siblings have achieved EXC. Five from this litter have got their hips x-rayed and they all free.

One of his offspring from kennel Merjano is doing well in the woods. Merjano's Barbie Girl, 9 months old, took 1st prize in blood tracking and she was even qualified for searching wounded game. One month later she passed the hunting ability test! We congratulate all of you with Viggo's offspring doing so well. Grandma is proud!

Valborg taking BIS-2 at puppyshow

31.08.08: WE GOT PUPPIES!! We have six puppies, two boys and four girls by AUSTCH. Kinsheran Kilimanjaro out of NUCH. Zelini's Love Is In the Air. You can read more about them in our puppypages.

25.08.08: Lasse/ DtJCH. Zelini's On Cloud Nine got his 4th CC and BOS at a show in Kassel this Sunday. Judge was Louis Van Bael from Belgium.

10.08.08: More good news from Germany: Lasse/ DtJCH. Zelini's On Cloud Nine
and his owner Svenja Loose has been to another show, this time in Löwenbruch south of Berlin. Judge was the Dutch Alfons Simons who awarded Lasse the CC and BOB! Lasse now has three out of four CC's required for the German championtitle. But it has to be at least one year between the first and the last CC, and Lasse got his first CC in April this year so we have to wait quite some time for his fourth CC and his championtitle. Lasse has been eyetested and glaucomatested free and he has had his hips x-rayed. We have to wait for that result a little longer as the vet reading the x-rays are on holiday untill the end of this month, but the vet who did the x-ray said the hips looked very good!

03.08.08: In Soltau, Germany, there have been two shows this weekend. Saturday Lasse/ DtJCH. Zelini's On Cloud Nine won the open class but was not placed any further. Sunday the Spaniel Club had their Club Show and Lasse took the CC and BOS! Happy owner is Svenja Loose.

27.07.08: On this years hottest day so far there was an all breed show in Moss with Ove Germundsson (Sweden) judging 30 Springers. I wasn't there myself but Karoline took the trip with her own Even/ NUCH Copy-Cat's Waterhole and Tiril/ NUCH NVCH Zelini's Deep Purple. Even was 2nd in championclass with EXC but wasn't placed in best dog. Tiril was 3rd best bitch, BOB-veteran and BIS-3-veteran thanks to Karoline. Tiril doesn't want to go with me in the ring so if it hadn't been for Karoline Tiril wouldn't have done so well this year! Thanks Karoline for doing such a great job with our grand old lady!

25.07.08: Today it has been confirmed  that we really have puppies coming soon! We went to the vet for an ultrasound and he could tell us that we had a normalsize litter coming. She is due in week 36. Please take a look at our puppypage if you want some more information on this exciting AI-litter!

We had Pia/ Zelini's Give Me Five visiting here today, and she has developed to a beautiful young lady. We took a new photo of her and you can find it on her page. She has been eye- and glaucomatested free today. Her hips were x-rayed as well but we need to wait for the Kennel Club to get the result. The vet said they looked great though! :-)

We finally got some summertemperatures and it's really hot! On the photos you can see how happy the dogs and our son Stian are celebrating the beautiful weather!

Viggo dukker!Stian og Ylva spruter!

03.07.08: PUPPIES COMING: We have had AI done on NUCH. Zelini's Love Is In the Air using semen from AUSTCH. Kinsheran Kilimanjaro. She is due week 36. Take a look at the page for planned litters for more information.

29.06.08: NKK Bjerke: The Norwegian Kennel Clubs International all breed show at Bjerke was this year judged by  the Swedish judge Ola Eriksson (kennel Geltman's) who had 46 Springers in the ring. We had only two dogs entered this day, but it went quite well anyway. ;-) Among the dogs Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was placed 2nd with res. cacib. The winner was the wellknown NORDUCH NV-07 Westaway Into the Mystic who not only was BOB, he even went BOG and BIS-2!! Our sincere congratulations to Frank og Stig at kennel Westaway!!! Among the bitches NORDUCH NORDV-02 NV-03-04 Westbound Way to Go was best, but 2nd was Ylva/ NUCH SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever who also got the cacib as the winner was a veteran.

Ylva i farta28.06.08: Last night I came home from a weeks holiday in Italy. Of course there was a heatwave and all of you who know me know that I don't handle the heat very well... After all it went quite well and I even got some tan! ;-) We arrived the airport here at about 6 a.m. and we were all quite tired when we came home to all the dogs and Karoline. Karoline has been looking after the dogs while we were gone and not only that, she had given all the dogs a bath AND blowdried them before todays show! I was sooo happy!! Karoline, I have said it before and I will say it again; You are the best!!!! Thanks for all your help!!!
Todays show was the spanielclub show in Oslo with Svein Helgesen judging 35 Springers. In juniorclass Lorang/ Zelini's Macchiato was placed first again with EXC. In championclass  Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was placed 3rd with EXC and later on he was 4th best dog. Championclass bitches was won by Ylva/ NUCH SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever with EXC, and she was even best bitch and BOS. In veteranclass Tiril/ NUCH NVCH Zelini's Deep Purple was 2nd with EXC. Our breedersgroup consisting the four abovementioned dogs went BIS-1-breeder!

14.06.08: In the obedience-ring Anakin/ Zelini's The Chosen One had his second start and he achieved his second 1st prize gaining 171 points out of 200 possible. This time he was placed 4th. Owner is Marianne Aarstad.

07.-08.06.08: This weekend there were two shows in Trondheim. We arrived kennel Winton (Vanja and Dag) late Friday night after a hot and troublesome drive. We had problems with our car on the way but a call to my husband Øyvind solved the problem. Together with him I checked a few things and we found out what was wrong and I managed to repair it! I was afraid the dogs would overheat in the car but we had fans at their crates and they did well. What surprised me is that no-one stopped and offered their help. We were standing there, two beautiful (???) ladies, and not a single car stopped... Disappointing!!!!

Saturday there was an International allbreed Kennel Club show and Carole A. Coode (UK) judged 45 Springer. First one out was Karoline with Lorang/ Zelini's Macchiato. They were placed 3rd in juniorclass with a Prize of Honour.  Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story
was not placed in championclass. In juniorclass for the bitches Karoline showed her own Kelly/ Zelini's Cappuccino, and was placed 2nd with EXC. On this show we met Wilma/ Zelini's Sound Of Music  as well, and she was 3rd in open class. In championclass Ylva/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was placed as no. 4 with EXC, but she wasn't placed in best bitch. So we had to hope for Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple in veteranclass. She didn't disappoint us winning the veteranclass with EXC and being 3rd best bitch. In the BIS-final there were about 15 veterans and Tiril was placed as BIS-4!! Tiril really did her best in a way to hot day, and it was a pleasure to watch her in the ring. I would like to congratulate kennel Ursa Major with their Viggo-daughter Ursa Major's Scarlett who got the CC that day.

On Sunday the temperature was much better and the showground was great. The Spaniel Club had Lotte Jørgensen from Denmark judging 40 Springers. Lorang/ Zelini's Macchiato won juniorclass with EXC and went on winning the CC and runner up for best dog! Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was 3rd best dog. Kelly/ Zelini's Cappuccino was 2nd in juniorclass this day as well and got EXC. Ylva/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was 3rd in championclass and 3rd best bitch. Tiril/
NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple did not place in best bitch this day but was BOB- and BIS-veteran. Our breeders group was BIS-1.

The trip back home went very well even though we were quite tired. The car was ok, the temperature was good and with great results we had a nice time in the car.
I would like to thank Karoline for nice trip and I would like to thank Vanja and Dag for a really nice time living with them this weekend. Well done on a great showweekend for you too! And last but not least, thanks to my husband Øyvind who is repairing the car by phone and looking after our son and the dogs left behind.

31.05.08: First of all I would like to send my sincere congratulations to Marianne Aarstad and her Anakin/ Zelini's The Chosen One. They made their debute in obedience class 1 at Oslo Dogshow today and they won the class achieving 182,5 points out of 200. We are so proud of you!
We have been to a show today were Spaniel-specialist Kari Granaas Hansen (kennel Carillo) judged 29 Springers. Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story did best and was BOS. Our grand old lady Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple was as usual handled to perfection by Karoline. This time they made it to 2nd best bitch and BIS-3-veteran. Ylva/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was 4th best bitch.

05.04.08: At an international all breed show in Berlin, Germany, Svenja Loose and her Lasse/ DtJCH. Zelini's On Cloud Nine took the CC, cacib and BOB under the Dutch judge Alice Bennink-Smies.

29.03.08: The Springer have to be the most curious breed ever! No matter what you do they are always there to check out on things.  I took the opportunity to take some close up's. You don't get much closer than this....

18.03.08: Annie has been to ultrasound and she is pregnant! We just have to wait a few more weeks to see what she's got for us.

05.03.08: Hip result: We got the result of Kelly's (Zelini's Cappuccino) hip x-ray today and she has excellent hips!

18.02.08: CHAMPION NO. 25! This weekend I went up north to Bodø to pick up Annie and at the same time we showed her under the Swedish judge Nils Molin. CC, champion-title, BOB and BOG-4 went to Zelini's Annie Get Your Gun. That makes her our champion no. 25 of our own breeding, and she is the fourth champion in her litter! Annie is now in season, and will be mated in the end of the week.

09.02.08: The first show in Norway this year was a Spanielclub-show in Porsgrunn. They had invited the wellknown Springerbreeder  Frank Bjerklund, knl. Westaway, to judge and he had 40 Springers in the ring. Open class dog was won by Emil/ Zelini's Fiddler On the Roof and championclass dog was won by Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story. Second in this class was Karoline's Even/ NUCH. Copy-Cat Hookeys Waterhole. In best male class  Emil was placed as no. 2 and Viggo as no. 3. Even was not placed. Among the bitches our grand old lady Tiril/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's Deep Purple was placed first in best bitch and was BOS. She was even BIS-veteran. 2. best bitch was Ylva/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever. Our breeders group got Prize of Honour and was even BIS-breeder!

19.01.08: NEW CHAMPION!
We got a nice message from Germany today. At the international show in Nürnberg Zelini's On Cloud Nine got his third junior-CC and that made him German Juniorchampion. Judge was Herbert Klemann and happy owner is Svenja Loose. Well done!

LOOKING BACK AT THE YEAR 2007:
In a highly unofficial calculation over Springer of the Year 2007 our own Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was runner up! Winner was CH. Westaway Into the Mystic. We send our sincere congratulations to his owners Frank Bjerklund and Stig Arne Kjellevold. It was absolutely deserved.
I'll take the months in order of time: JANUARY As usual it's a quiet month as there are no shows for Spaniels this month but we had no problems resting on our laurel's as Viggo/ NUCH. NVCH. Zelini's West Side Story was Springer of the Year 2006 and his dam Ylva/ NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever was runner up on the list and top winning bitch 2006. FEBRUARY 8 puppies born February 25th by SU(u)CH Alanea Landcruiser out of NUCH. SU(u)CH. NORDV-06 Zelini's Strawberry Fields Forever. MARCH Zelini's Twentyfour-Seven/ Casper made his debut in a puppyshow and went BOB and BOG-2. Birk / Zelini's Jesus Christ Superstar had a nice weekend in the end of the month winning CC and BOS at a Spanielclub specialty, and CC, 2.Best dog and res.cacib at the Kennel Club all breed International Show . APRIL No shows or other activitities for us this month as we had 8 puppies at home developing nicely and keeping us busy.  MAY The last puppy left us in the middle of the month. Brew / Zelini's Café Olé went all the way to kennel Salutaire, Los Angeles/ California. As far as we know it's the first Norwegian Springer ever exported to the US. We kept  Kelly/ Zelini's Cappuccino in co-ownership with Karoline Johansen.  The first litter sired by our Viggo was born at kennel Ursa Major this month consisting 13 puppies!  In the end of the month the Spaniel Club had to specialties and Viggo took the CC at both ending up 2nd best male both days.  JUNE started as May ended. Two shows the same weekend and Viggo took CC and was 2nd best male both days.  Up north Max/ NUCH. NSVCH. Zelini's Next to Nothing took a 1st prize tracking. JULY The last weekend in July we went to Moss and got two new champions in the littermates Zelini's Chess (Sunda) and Zelini's West Side Story (Viggo) . Sunda was BOB and BOG-4 and Viggo was BOS. AUGUST was an active month. The first weekend Viggo started in a tracking trial and got a 1st prize. His sister Zelini's Chess (Sunda) got her approval for searching wounded game. Viggo was BOS at the Spaniel Club specialty in Oslo, and in Germany Zelini's On Cloud Nine tok his first junior-CC.  Zelini's Double Espresso made her debute at a puppyshow gaining BOB and BOG-4.  Viggo ended a good month for us by taking another 1st prize tracking. SEPTEMBER On the very first day of the month another one from our musical-litter did really well. In Steinkjer Birk/ Zelini's Jesus Christ Superstar took the CC, his champion-title, BOB and  BOG-1! With that there are now three champions in that litter. His littermates Zelini's Chess (Sunda) and Zelini's West Side Story (Viggo) both took 1st prizes tracking, and they both got their trackingchampion-titles in addition to their show champion-titles.  Viggo got his tracking-title in one month and three days! Sister Zelini's Annie Get Your Gun got her approval for searching wounded game as well.  Zelini's Double Espresso was BOB and BOG-1 at another puppyshow. In the end of this month Ylva broke a toe and it was just as traumatic for me as it was for her I think... OCTOBER Karoline had her 18th birthday and we had a very nice surpriseparty for her at the Kennel Club show that month. A lot of people had contributed with cakes, champagne, food, flag, candles accompanied by a birthdaysong for a very moved Karoline. We really had a lot of fun.  ;-) In the end of the month I went up north to Tromsø to show a couple of dogs there. We got a new champion as NUCH. Zelini's Wild Romance got the CC, his title, cacib and BOB at the show Sunday. Zelini's Annie Get Your Gun took the CC, BOB, BOG-3 Saturday and CC, cacib and BOS Sunday. The people up there were very pleased with my visit! ;-) NOVEMBER In Germany Zelini's On Cloud Nine took his 2nd junior-CC. At the puppyshow at Kongsberg  Zelini's Double Espresso was again BOB and BOG-2, her brother Zelini's Macchiato was BOS. DESEMBER is a quiet month regarding dog activities here. Ylva got her cast taken off, and her toe looks as good as new! We are so glad it all ended well.
I will end this resume with thanking all puppybuyers and other dogfriends for another exciting and very nice year. Without you it wouldn't have been that much fun!
A special thank you goes to Karoline Johansen who has become such an important part of Team Zelini. Karoline is going with me wherever I go, and is helping me in all kinds of situations. My health is not getting any better so without her I couldn't have done all the things I do. Thanks Karoline for being there for me!
